Actually he was originally caring and supportive (there are lots of specific examples available even with their minimal screen time in the first part of season 15), then he got overwhelmed and defensive and started being an ass. Its understandable to think about and realize that was due to a number of things and he handled it very poorly. Levi’s my fav, I get he deserves to be treated way better than he was, but I also think its a good character development that Nico has realized Levi is more important to him than the fear of his parents, or his identity as his work being perfect, etc. Levi needed Nico to help realize who he was and gain confidence in himself back in early season 15, and Nico has needed Levi to help him find the courage to be open and himself, not a “robot” like he was. I watched seasons 14-now this last month, and going back to 15, the only times we saw Nico smiling sincerely, and being lighthearted were with Levi, its always been Levi bringing that out in him. He just had to realize loving Levi was the most important choice he had to make.

He fell in love with levi so quick that you can see that it scares him more then likely because his past. Bad example given Owens coping mechanisms were trash due to ptsd, link doesn’t have this problem so Owen is coming from a healthy mindset and not his pre therapy thought processes. Also she was not clear about it until after they were married. Granted he was shitty about it afterwards but both fucked up by not having a conversation about it before getting married in the first place and then remaining married years after the fact despite not wanting the same things. Literally took Cristina moving to another country for both of them to let go.

Link doesn’t suffer from PTSD or a pattern of limited coping mechanisms as a result so it’s not a bad observation coming from Owen considering he’s been through an entire gambit of going from healthy to PTSD and back again. It shows growth on his part

I totally get why Nico’s previous character was so stoic and “robotic” (except when he was with Levi), if ppl consider what we know or can assume of his upbringing, the perfectionism is a very common identity trait driven by focus and many walls around any emotion or perceived “weakness”. But I am SO here for this expressive Nico!!!! Tons more Schmico content, Levi content, and Nico content next season please!!!! They need to be A team cast, not just here and there in little bits every few episodes.

He is now more confident & professional. Compare this with the clumsy Levi of season 14. And I think the vaccine Doctor was introduced to actually make Nico haters and Anti-Schmico Grey's fans realise that Levi loves only Nico and Nico loves only Levi. Yes, Nico had some communication issues and I understand him. He guards himself whenever he is in a crisis & doesn't want to talk it out, be it was killing a patient in S15 or about not coming out to his parents in S16. But his love for Levi made a positive influence on him. He is finally opening up. They gave their best to each other. They are just perfect. Hope Grey's writers keep them this way.

Like, it’s already hard enough to come out as a member of the LGBTGIA+ community, but given Nico’s description of his parents/family, we can understand how he couldn’t/didn’t wish to come out to them. I think more people need to see that, while Nico had struggled with communicating leading to their break up, he loves Levi. Not coming out to family/friends does not always mean you don’t love your partner. So glad we finally got to see them get a happy ending!!!

Seems like that's what she's trying for in this scene - she's afraid of increasing the amount of instability in her life due to 1) missing meetings 2) the stress of another kid 3) sobriety pressure bc of having another kid - compounded by the fact that she still sometimes gets urges to get high 4) possible relationship strain bc she doesn't want more kids and Link does She's definitely had a bad cycle with "drama," but I'd put that down to early trauma setting a bad template for her mind, addiction, and her tumor.

Ppl need to watch s15 schmico again, so many comments thinking this is too much of a change for Nico’s character to be believable, or that he was only a jerk and doesn’t deserve Levi’s love....but if you watch prior to him losing that athlete (which was when he started being defensive, as he’d lost the only identity he saw himself as, which was being “perfect”), prior to that, he was actually very similar to this. Yes this is amplified, he’s chosen loving Levi as more important than anything else, so yes he’s even more open and expressive, but its not a drastic leap. He was supportive, caring, encouraging, and stood by Levi when others didn’t. He was also inspired by how open Levi was with his emotions, and facing his fears. Levi always brought out the smiles and emotion in Nico, even early on. He’s the only one who did. Go back and watch ppl, you’ll remember why Schmico was/is so loved.... if Nico was actually a true jerk at his core, we’d have never liked him, neither would Levi. It was understandable situations that brought out the worst emotional reaction in Nico, largely based on his upbringing and self defence mechanisms, but obviously he’s thought through that and has chosen Levi over his fears. Every since Nico and Levi gotten back together Nico has changed. Ever since the vaccine Levi realized that he only loves and wants to be with Nico. Nico being with Levi has made Nico open up to Levi. While Levi being with Nico has made Levi more confident in himself. Nico and Levi have changed each other for the better. That’s what I love about there relationship ever since they’ve gotten back together.

I don't get why people won't let go of the fact that Nico was "horrible" to Levi. I mean I can kinda understand, its not easy for some people to express their emotion especially when you are brought up in a culture where it's not normal to talk about everything on your mind and express every single emotion. I get that it's hard for some people to understand but I don't think it's that Nico didn't love Levi, he just wasn't use to saying it cuz saying it wasn't important and constantly talking about feelings didn't get the job done. And Levi was not without his faults he's just too cute to stay mad at for long but he has his shitty and annoying moments. But it's good to see them make a step forward. I don't wish to take away Amelia's autonomy but her baby is still very young. She's just come off looking after three other, by all accounts very boisterous, children during a pandemic OF COURSE she doesn't want more children at the moment. While she may indeed not change her mind, she might when the world has calmed down, her child can have conversations and go to the loo on his own and her and Link are living with just their little family. Frankly Link was a bit off to suggest this NOW, what did he think the answer would be.

Nico is not an emotional man levi is so when you see how nico acts you assume he dont love him but in reality most men act like nico they dont express everything going on with them they dont really cry unless its death or some serious nico showed levi attention he never fucked him and left he stays cuddles and all. There relationship moved fast as hell they had one kiss then they had sex and that day they became a couple. Nico clearly isnt a bad guy but his relationship with levi was rushed like a love at first site then plus we dont know what nico been threw to make him that way. His go to feeling is numb and he guards his self to protect hisself from others. Those are clear indications that things have happened to him. Stop blaming nico and wait to hear the why

@@nybriag7663 people dont understand the man at all if you really listen to nico you can tell he been threw stuff like he said when he first got with levi he did his coming out already but he wont let levi meet his parents and it hurt his feelings when he thought levi was tryna hide him from his mom and the closer he got to levi he started putting his guard up. I think nico is in love with levi he just scared and dont know how to talk about it. Levi is very emotional and nico isnt so people cant get mad because nico doesnt like sharing every feeling. Nico mentioned his Ex a couple of times, my thought is that alot of his issues steam from that relationship. he is making an effort for Levi with his emotions & dispite the bumps in the road Nico was a constant in Levi's life (meaning he didn't start sleeping around)

I think The writers should give Nico his origin story so people can understand my boy better
