What is with Roxy’s unhealthy obsession with Finstock? Let that man live. By any measurement Finstock is so far and away the greatest manager of all time it is indisputable. He has the most wins all time. Most championship matches all time. Most championships all time. He managed arguably the greatest team of all time with the most defenses all time. He is the three time manager of the year (the only person to win it more than once). Saying Finstock isn’t great because he has great players is like saying Phil Jackson and Bill Belichick weren’t good coaches.

I am a big fan of Roxy, but when it comes to her opinions on The Finstock Exchange and in particular Tom's managerial record, she's way off. Tom's track record for managing/working with champions speaks for itself, while Roxy's biggest claim to fame was having The Odd Couple win the belts only to have them lose them about 5 minutes later. I do think Roxy has the potential to be a great manager, but right now Idk if she's even one of the Top 3 managers in the league. However, I do think Roxy is spot on about Damon in IG, I think he's going to dominate! Should be an interesting season overall!

Finstock is the greatest manager of all time. Time after time he wins. It doesn’t matter the conflict going in right now, because winning solves problems. And I don’t see Ben, Rocha, Dan and Reilly losing a lot. He knows how to keep calm during a match, and bring the best out of the players. Sometime the most useful thing you can is just instill confidence into your players, when your players are already skilled at the game.
@scamrasc4 жыл бұрын
Jeanine is ABSOLUTELY ludicrously over rated. But that's definitely not her fault... It has NEVER EVER been Jeanine who has built hype up about herself - it's the other competitors and commentators. She's 3-6. Her wins are Bonnie, Fyffe and Stacy (the only one who can play well, but is flakey as hell!) and was literally just TKO'd by Reilly (who played OK, but would have lost against the top players), so when you see that and IMMEDIATELY Mark Ellis then says she could pull a Bibbiani and run through 41 rounds in the FFA.....um, YEAH, that's going to make people think "ok this hype is fucking ridiculous". It is! Again - it's not Jeanine's fault. It's an undue pressure and expectation that is foisted upon her by other members of the Schmoedown, and is completely unfair, because when she can't meet those expectations, it's her who takes the flack for it!! That's not fair. Jeanine is a decent mid-tier player. She is NOT top level. No way! To get there she needs to really really study and buckle down. She could do it - Ben did - but she's not there yet at all, so saying dumb shit like "she could run the FFA" or hold a belt....that's unfairly overhyping her and ultimately setting her up for backlash.
@ajl97724 жыл бұрын
I feel this happens to a lot of competitors, especially female ones. People want to see more female competitors play so they hype them up. People mean well, but I feel they only place higher expectations and pressure on to them.

AJL I feel like they it’s because she’s had a lot of close calls, and that mixed with her opponents always getting their strength in the second round it adds up to her losses being seen as unlucky instead of her being a bad player. I think she is top mid tier and has the ability to improve to be a championship contender
@ajl97724 жыл бұрын
@@antuanlemon484 I agree with where you assess her. I think people are looking for Rachel and Clarke to be replaced. Jeanine is currently seen as the best female player in the league so people want her to be at that level.

This is the best breakdown of the Jeanine backlash to the backlash. Her facebook post articulated this as well, that the pressure comes from so many people rooting for her to do well. I agree with the comments below about 'the league desperately wanting a new markee female player after Rachel and Clarke retired' point. Jeanine can be a b player on a championship team when she's at her best; and if she can't in singles that's okay.

As much as this comparison kills me as a sports fan...Tom is the Belichick to Roxy's Rex Ryan. Both are incredibly successful but it feels like Roxy wants to keep coming at Tom even though she hasn't won as much as him and hasn't seen the same kind of success, which is fact. It doesn't mean Roxy or any of the other factions/managers (and you can make the other comparisons with the other managers to NFL coaches) cannot upset The Exchange and Tom and win some matches over them, but they have set the standard and really, it is as if they are on their own plane of existence separate from everyone else right now, as football had to consider contenders in the Patriots heyday as New England on one side and everyone else on the other side. Nothing to do with the storylines or the drama, strictly from a gameplay and managerial tactical outlook and result perspective

Just a few short weeks ago he was one of my favorite personalities on SEN but now I just think 'I hope he's on corner duty today and not the desk'. The change was drastic and real. It's crazy how gifted Ben Goddard is. It takes a special kind of person to go from an instant superstar in the SEN/Schmoedown arena to one of the most condescending, arrogant and increasingly disliked personalities. He is basically the same as an actor who tries to distance themselves as much as possible from that which makes them a beloved figure. I'm addition to that, he has become so full of himself and I get he has basically become Kristian's right hand man on the show but he is still the newest personality in the hierarchy but acts like he is top dog. Ben continues to sound rattled, and he kept trying to rewrite history a little too. Dan didn't choose a thing. All he said was "I literally do not care - whateves". On Rocha's show he was visibly chill as anything. Dan's TOTALLY unbothered by it all...but Ben has been the one bringing up the whole stink in the first place and then tries to act as though it was Dan, and that he was all humble following DAN'S "decision"!! (but Roxy brought up a great point - Ben would hold it against him, win or lose) Then he does the same thing with the teams scenario - once again acting as though it's Dan who gets to make decisions and gets personal preference in who manages him/FF. Dan has literally stated he couldn't care less and is A-OK with no manager. All he said about FF vs WTB was that for the sake of things being fair and it not ALWAYS feeling like Dagnino supports Ben first and foremost, was that the decision Tom makes now sets a precedent for future encounters to be handled the same - if no manager, then no manager, and if the manager stays with the champ and the challenger gets appointed a stand in, then the same thing applies in teams too. Ben's simultaneously stirring up something combative as if "unfair" to himself while also passing the buck that it falls at Dan's feet. Roxy's right - it's ONLY serving to make Ben seem distracted and nervous.

@@Spideymrw I'd say being paired up with Ben and studying with him had a lot more to do with Reilly getting out of his rut than Tom did. And I truly believe Tom had very little to do with the success of the Patriots as JTE and Schneider are/were incredible players. Honestly, I think the only way to see what Tom's really made of is to see how the new members on the Finstock Exchange do.

@@LAnimeMaster If I'm not mistaken, JTE had his worst year before going on the patriots run with Tom.

@@bobbygucci9300 This guy is actually a girl. Still not buying it either, but we'll see. I'm willing to change my opinion. There's nothing wrong with people having different opinions by the way. It's not about having clues. lol

Bobby Gucci is the Murrell when it comes to managers of the SD. Roxy just wants to take down the champ I love Roxy truly i do but watching the life drain from her face when Bateman started talking about Gucci was amazing and Gucci just nodding. It seems little odd that she seems to know everything thats happening in her faction to the point to answer for them

What's interesting is that Roxy has to win fans over to help her be manager of the year. Similar to what Keiser did or what Shannon is currently doing. The like-ability factor goes a long way. Winning fans over is something she hasn't really done. From what I've seen she's not liked by many people aside from the usual ass kissers. Its also funny that she tells Ben that he's losing focus by concentrating on this whole, who gets who as a manger thing. Meanwhile everytime there's Schmoedown talk she starts shitting on Dagnino. Talk about your faction about what you expect, be more positive. If Dagnino is so incompetent let his decisions blow up in his face ala Robert Meyer Burnett. Don't start calling people brainwashed it's just plain insulting.

Poor John... Trying to manage the managers through a conversation... Content was gold, but yes, a hot mess!
