Known for its pure quality and a staple within the hill climbing community it now enters the market of folding bikes. We look at the weight saving of the TLO folding parts and if this will improve the humble Brompton.

I wondered if the weight of the rim (205g) should more be compared to the Brompton rims only (all ranging 300g - 320g) and not the full wheel set which would include the spokes etc. ?

In the sunny weather I just started a major rebuilt of my Superlight, by changing the holder clamps on my mudguards to carbon, and I intended to change the two main holders also. Plus my handlebar to carbon. Sadly the holders are more permanently added and needs a drill to be removed, so I only changed some extra parts and the hinges on my brakes during the Danish Day of Summer, and it rains again today! But now my brakes are mostly from titanium. I also used my luggage weight and found out that my bike - isn't quite as light as remembered, but still around 9 kilo but with mudguards and a toolset. I honestly had expected it to be lighter from my last weighing, but facts and mirrors are indeed depressing! Finn. Denmark

Looking at the schmolke website, I was disappointed to find no information about the suitability of these very pricy rims for use with rim brakes. What is the braking surface and how durable is it?

It's weird though. Other videos worked perfectly. Will give it a try on the laptop. Tried to watch it on the phone don't know why no sound. It was perfect on the laptop though.
