My fears are that a Jurassic Park chapter might just be two survivors and no killer (maybe a map since it’s such an iconic license) but I would be really interested in seeing how a raptor would be animated and depicted to fit into the game. I was skeptical initially but I think Jurassic Park slants into horror enough to belong here and even just survivors would be really hype (but I really really really wanna see how they could try and fit a playable dinosaur here).

I personally think if they were to do a Jurassic park chapter it should be based on the original book since that was much more horror heavy with deaths being described in vivid detail and in horrific situations but even if they did do the movies as inspiration I think people are forgetting how the original Jurassic park could be very scary at times instead of the more action focused Jurassic world trilogy but that’s just my thoughts

Personally I think a Velociraptor or even the Indoraptor would make the best choice for a Jurassic Park Killer. They should have abilities that focuses on tracking, stealth and ambushing Survivors. Can you imagine seeing an undetectable Indoraptor in the Red Forest? You'd feel like you're playing right inside a Jurassic Park/World movie.

@@bahlahkayy If you shrink it down you might as well have it be a baby Indoraptor, since the animal in the movie is around Carnotaurus size, being 10 feet tall and 24 feet long. Nemesis didn't change that much in terms of height as it was only a few cms or inches, so he is still a large, hulking monster. Downscaling the Indoraptor would be a more challenging and difficult task since they'd have to balance two forms of measurements with its height and length. (Plus, I think having it be the big one from JP1 would be better overall, the raptors are more iconic, more marketable with the many variants the raptors gotten over the years, and better represents Jurassic Park/World as a whole. I do agree the Indoraptor does fit with DBD and would be cool if they somehow got it to work, just think the raptors are more obvious and better choice if they want it to sell.)

They both fit in the game nicely and were pretty intimidating in the movies. Maybe they could make Indoraptor a Legendary skin for the Velociraptor like they did with William Birkin and Blight.

When I heard that Jurassic Park is thought about as a possible collab, it instantly became my most wanted license in this game. Another character that could work as a killer in this chapter would be the Dilophosaurus; it already has a power that it can use (being the poison it shoots out). However, I can see why Behaviour would choose the Raptors over the Dilophosaurus.

Indoraptor seems good as a killer in the game, it has an ability that can be used, the only problem is it's huge, they can probably make it smaller to fit in the game, but the Raptors are fine.

If jurassic park came in to dbd they could add a unique carry animation for whatever dinosaur they bring in, raptor or indoraptor. Instead of picking up the survivor, the killer gets thrown in third person with a fix camera postion, mori style and begins dragging the survivor to a hook. The survivor will have to struggle and if they do get out, they'll get back up on their feet and run off just as normal. But if the killer gets to the hook and presses the hook button, a new animation begins where the entiy lifts the survivor on the hook for the killer so you don't have a weird animation. This could easily he incorporated for more non humanoid characters in the future.

Soyona Santos from the most recent film could work as a killer. She sends out raptors to chase down whatever she points a laser at. So the raptors would be her power like Victor or the Knight’s guards. That way we’d have a human hooking survivors instead of raptors. The Indoraptor could work, but it’s a little too big.

I think people need to realize that a license can come in any form. Some licenses like chapters come in survivors/killers and maps. Som only as survivor. So when they put Jurassic Park here not necessarily means a sino killer, but maybe just a map. Imagine Jurassip Park as a map, and we getting the corporation/park skins? Thats the more.... sane(?) way to bring the franchise to the game.

As much as I hate the indoraptor in JW2 for how underwhelming of a villain they were… I do think they would be the best pick for a Jurassic Park killer. I just think it’d fit in better as a killer in dbd with its camouflage + overall design + aesthetic. It’d fit in better with DBD, rather than a generic raptor from JP.

The movie is what made the franchise famous but the books are actually sci-fi horror and way darker. If Demo and Xeno can get in, it's fine for a Raptor too. Plus they're not true dinosaurs, more like genetic aberrations made to look like them.

To be honest, I always played with the idea of Jurassic Park in Dead By Daylight. My idea has the hybrid monster that is the Scorpius Rex from the animated show as the killer, Henry Wu as the survivor, and the lab/island of the show as the map. I know the Tv show is a show made for children (despite the show being canon to the main movie timeline). But the Scorpius rex fits the best for a killer, it has thumbs so it can grab and hook survivors, its size is perfect to fit and it can be as tall as Nemesis, It uses venomous quills that he throws to sting survivors and infect them ( kind of like a pig reverse trap, where survivors need to find a cure before the venom does its thing and kills them), and because it's a dinosaur you can give it a pounce or dash ability like Demogorgon. For a survivor, I know other famous iconic characters from the Jurassic Park franchise can be great pics for survivors but I believe Dr. Henry Wu is the best candidate for the survivor as he helps create the dinosaurs in both Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. But what makes him my number 1 pic for the survivor is that the Scorpius Rex is Henry's own creation and he designed and created it. Having the Scorpius Rex and Henry Wu together in the same chapter can give this Dr. Frankenstein and Frankenstein's monster feel that we haven't really had from Dead By Daylight. For the map, the best choice and simple one is an abandoned INGEN lab in the middle of the jungle that has been broken down and taken back by nature with collapsed walls that can lead to outside areas where we can have loops in the jungle. That's my idea for a Jurassic park chapter.

While Jurassic Park is not just straight up horror I believe it's horror adjacent enough to fit the horror criteria. We got Wesker who isn't really a horror character and while there is debate if he fits he's in and he's here to stay... so no use arguing about that. Also Jurassic Park can be rather terrifying if it wants to be. The Lost World and Fallen Kingdom are rather dark in tone and if you want true horror the books is where it's at. Anyone who's read the Novels can tell you that the movies are sincerely toned down. Only getting the rights to the novel, would however limit potential in the cosmetic department, I'd be like Ghost Face instead of Scream. As for logistics, Raptors as a killer is strange, but to be fair the movies repeatedly hype up their intelligence with each sequel, would it be strange to see a Raptor carry a survivor, yeah obviously, but if they give them a unique carrying animation than maybe it would be fine. Next issue is the power, if we want to go with Raptors I think a mix of stealth and ambush could be a neat idea, I guess it would be similar to the Pig's crouch, but maybe less punishing and obvious. Maybe as a nice change of pace give us a killer that's naturally a bit faster than the normal killer speed, just slightly not like rushing Blight or cloaked Wraith, just a bit faster than normal to seem more dangerous and aggressive. If we want to be creative we could maybe have the Dilophosaurus instead of the Raptor, they are still pretty iconic having created the false stereotype that this dinosaur spits venom and it could create a unique new power, this depiction is an original idea from Jurassic Park that would be different from just a dinosaur chapter. I think a Raptor is more likely for a Jurassic license if we get a killer at all, they're just more present among all the movies and are among the smartest dinosaurs to pick from. But regardless I'd love to see a Jurassic Park chapter and BHVR even considering it is already a good sign for me.

I've read the both novels. Second one is more of an adventure with some thriller/gore moment, but first one is a full blown horror book, T-rex escape scene for example in the book is FAR more gripping the in the movie. So I can imagine them going for a novel license and maybe making a Raptor design of their own. Dilo is also an option for a killer but they would have to bring a fully grown one for it to work. Honestly - I'm fascinated by this license perspective, hope they actually commit to it.

In the Jurassic World trilogy, Owen was able to connect and create a bond with a few raptors in the park, main one being Blue, Blue may be an apex predator but will actively help him throughout the movies, idk maybe the entity could pull a stranger things move and instead of the demo thinking the entity is like the mindflayer, that they bring a velociraptor and the other entity makes some kind of reward system/ pact with them for their service, it sounds weird but if someone in a movie can tame a wild dinosaur from genetic DNA anything is possible lmao

The Indoraptor is pretty much the only good killer choice. Its highly intelligent and Malicious. Though it is massive it can be shrinked abit to fit like nemesis was. A default raptor could also work but you just have to suspend your disbelief.

I think the best way they could make a killer for a Jurassic Park chapter is to have the killer be a scarred version of the Big One from the original film, pulled by the Entity moments before death after it was bitten and thrown by the T-Rex at the end of the film. That was the only named raptor that was ever in a antagonistic role and the Velociraptors in JP definitely made the best impression out of the whole series in terms of being scary antagonists. And their shrieks and calls would be among some of the most iconic sound effects in cinema that would be in DBD, and I for one would pay to witness that. Also, another reason why they’d probably end up going for using a Velociraptor as a killer is because there’s so many potential skins to eventually sell since there is so many variations of the species through out JP/JW. Whether it’s the quilled raptors from JP3, the tiger stripes from the Lost World, or even Jurassic World’s raptor squad.

My first ever fan made chapter was a "Jurassic Park" inspired chapter. A Utah raptor was the killer, and a Russian trophy hunter was the survivor. I think I still have it sitting around somewhere.

I've been thinking if certain killers have problems like chucky and all that why not make the killers feel like their in a different game made by the entity we've always said that the same tasks of fixing gens can get really stale in gameplay so why not make some killers have unique tasks and ways to stun you we've seen different ways to use asymetrical horror games so why not branch off just a bit that both makes the game feel fresh and new while also keeping the core elements of DBD like for example if we get JP in DBD why not have the objective be to recapture or repower the fences the map would be some sort of paddock and the survivors can reactivate the power through tasks as the raptor hunts down survivors the only thing is instead of a raptor downing a survivor maybe survivors use cattle prods or flashbangs to push back the raptors and they run away but they only have a certain amount of uses there's probably a lot of flaws here but I can't say the possibility for behavior to do something like this isn't off the table they are an amazing gaming team who try to make it work

There is a good amount of survivor candidates in this. The best candidate for killer is indoraptor. But I’m not crazy on the idea of Jurassic park/ world entering dbd I’m not opposed. I know some people have said velociraptor but indoraptor is in my opinion the better choice it’s designed to be a weapon it’s designed to kill. The name could be “the hybrid” it’s mori could be it pouncing on a survivor and biting down on their heads and tearing them apart.

I think the velociraptors bring the survivor to the entity and the entity places the survivor on the hook. The entity could act as a velociraptor trainer, and the raptor would act as a pet to the entity. That way it would make sense for a raptor to bring a survivor to be hooked and without the odd movements of a dinosaur trying to place a survivor on the hook.

I best think raptor like you said but also they are very animalistic, honesty the small indoraptor from the 5th movie that chased the littke girl through the mansion because they could have a big scary dino but make it small enough to work in dbd. I love monsters in media, that's why the Xenomorph and the Demogorgon are my favorite killers, if they announced a Jurassic Park killer, or even a skin for the Xenomorph or something I would be very exited. Also many people are asking the question of "How would they pick up/hook survivors?" I think the answer here is just that the velociraptor would drag the body and to hook them they would yank them up and toss them on the hook.

if they do bring in Jurassic Park, some food for thought is a scrapped scene that saw the Indoraptor playing with a human skull. that and something that wasn't cut... it actively trolled someone that shot it with a dart and tried to take one of it's teeth before making the kill. if they want to bring in a second killer, then by all means get the Big One in as well. after all she did kill all but 2 members of the pride of raptors back in the original movie, she had the survivors attacking the fences in different locations testing to see if they can find a weakness. if both were to be added we can have differing play styles where the Indoraptor is more psychopathic and chaotic, and the Big One would be calculative and cunning.

So honestly with the in universe lore of the new films where the raptors are modified i can see the entity just currupting that command structure and puppet a raptor to hook survivors or have them act like pyramid head and the can be dragged of to a coner by the pact while the alpha downs targets

I think raptors carrying people to hooks makes perfect sense, in Jurassic Park 3 they set a trap for the humans by using another human who is unable to move and luring them to him before attacking

I personally think a velociraptor would make a good addition to the game, but I do agree it would be weird to have him hook survivors. Maybe they could do something fresh with him kind of like with Pyramidhead's cages, they could have him drag survivors back to a nest of eggs instead or something and maybe those eggs contain the entity, but the Velociraptor believes they're it's own eggs.

With the various looks of raptors in the JP franchise there's already a bunch of potential alt skins for a raptor. Their dark grey appearance in the first film, their almost tiger like stripes in The Lost World, the male and female designs from JP3, all four raptors in Owen's squad in Jurassic World, maybe even skins that make them look like other raptors like the pyroraptor and atrociraptors from Dominion, or a legendary skin that makes them look like the indoraptor from Fallen Kingdom, or other raptor based hybrids from Jurassic World The Game. There's a lot you can do for alternate skins for a JP raptor.

I'd love to see Jurassic Park in DBD and I personally do consider Jurassic Park a horror movie, as for the Raptors hooking survivors, they don't need too, the Raptors could be like Pyramid Head or Michael Myers where they can just completely ignore the hooks

I feel like if it is announced that Jurassic park and dbd are doing a chapter there’d be interest. Because there’d be nothing like it to compare it to. And for those who doubt because of animations or the size let me clear things up. Jurassic parks velociraptors are canonically taller than both The hag and both legion girls so height’s not a problem. A raptor hooking someone isn’t a outlandish concept. Demogorgon can hook people and fans want the xenomorph a creature who prefers to just kill on the spot. JP velociraptors have been shown being deliberately malicious before like in JP3 when they maul a guy within a inch of his life and leave him on the ground as a trap. The velociraptors conically slug someone. So there’s no reason for the raptors to not start throwing people on hooks. Plus if the indominus Rex can speak raptor then the entity can too. It’s not hard to justify the existence of dinos being in dbd.

I remember Carlos Huante (concept artist) did some concepts for Jurassic World/Park where it showed some human-dinosaur hybrids which were awesome, you can google those concept. Maybe something like that could wor as they are more humanoid and the animation could fit easier than something which the form of a dinosaur carnivore (small hands for example). On the other hand I think everyone would be waiting for some more classic designs. Anyways we need more monsters. I still dont know why dont we have some more classic monsters like a vampire, a werewolf, etc.

Cmon. The Hag is basically an animal, so a velociraptor is not far off. If Jurassic Park has been covered by Dead Meat for the Kill Count, it is horror-adjacent. Therefore, it would be GREAT for DbD. I’m 100% down for this.

I have 2000 hours in this game. I am also a huge movie guy. Even seeing a license like the Ring get put in DbD made me excited. I haven’t seen her entire franchise but it’s still cool. I think regardless of how they “prep” us for it, announcing a Jurassic Park DLC would be insane and amazing for the game. Think about what just happened with Nic Cage. He’s not a horror license but he’s so popular and well liked that everyone is about to become a Nic Cage main when he drops. I would say the same about Jurassic Park. There’s a reason why Jurassic World became one of the best selling movies or all time and it’s because of how beloved Jurassic Park was and still is so I’d welcome this license with open arms. I think most people would just for the coolness factor alone.

If they do end up taking the route of Velociraptors as the killer, it would be odd to me to have Owen alongside as the survivor. Given that he had a connection with Blue's pack. The OG raptors in the first movie were feral and merciless. It'd just make more sense to me to put characters together from the OG trilogy then to put Owen's raptors against him

Jurassic world fallen kingdom felt like it could have had so much more in it, the whole concept of the movie was to be a horror-like jurassic park film and it failed to deliver on that except for the opening scene, the indoraptor was destined to be so much more but a lot of it was scrapped - would be the perfect proper "ending" for him and he would also be the perfect fit for a killer from that franchise
