This is absolutely everything you could ever ask for in vocal performance. The music is stunning, the words speak deep in your heart, Terfel's voice is pure gold, and Sissel's that of an angel.

Been listening to this much today. I recently lost a friend whose voice was almost as perfect as Bryn Terfel. He was a humble man with a gift which he shared openly everywhere - he was just 68 when he died. The last line "I am a song ....." is how I think of him now.

Had the privilege of singing this song with my Melbourne-based choir the Maroondah Singers, although not as well as Bryn and Sissel. Was amazed to know it was written by Abba man Benny Andersson. What a magnificent contribution that group made to music.

I am not often brought to tears by a musical rendition, but this duet is simply sublime. Their voices blend so well, but shouldn’t, as The soprano voice is supposed to partner a tenor more appropriately. I cant stop listening to it!

Just beautiful. I love Sissel. She's from my home town of Bergen Norway. I would love to see a live video of this. She has so many beautiful songs that we can see on KZbin. But if you want to see her pure emotion, look up Sissel's version of "Slow Down". It's with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Doesn't matter your religion or no religion, it's a powerful emotional piece. You will be in tears, I guarantee. And as for Bryn...what can I say? The most amazing baratone alive.

Bryn saved the best for last in his lastest album "Homeward Bound". His vocal interpretation on the album cannot not be surpassed by any of of great albums that have come before, although as wonderful as they are. Funny how you find music sometimes. I just finished an excellent series of books by Jeff Wheeler (Whispers From Mirrowen). In his author notes at the end of the final book he talks about this song being a perfect match for part of the book "one of the most haunting melodies I'd ever heard". That was enough to make me track it down, and he was right. Thank you Jeff, and thanks for the excellent books.

Correct lyrics from the sheet music! Tell me, where did my song go? Where is my sorrow, my deep desire? I had a star once that I could follow; My heart was clear as water. Find me, for I have lost you; The roads will lead me, The trees will guide me. I was a child and I knew the music That made the birds fly... You were the wind I went to catch you; You were the water I could reach you. Now I return to meet you; And I'm reclaiming my song. Run to my side; Fill my heart, make it a river; Come to my defense now; Give me my song. Who took my gift? Who deprived me of my sorrow? Giving me my strength When I was a child. Love of my life, In your time you have preserved me; Tempo dell' Amore Give me my song. Run to my side; Fill my heart, Make it a river; You are my desire; I am a song.
