Sissel is truly the most beautiful , elegant , sincere , down-to-earth performer I have ever seen , and I’ve seen sooo many ( I’m 83 years old ) . To those of us who have seen , heard and enjoyed her , cherish her and must consider ourselves very fortunate for the delightful experience . Keep on , Sissel , you are amazing . I absolutely agree, George. She is so humble that the vast majority of people in the states still have never heard of her. She is also incredibly empathetic. Talented isn't even the word. I've been listening to her for 30 years now and consider her to be the one of the top female vocalists of all time. Right next to another that no one has ever heard.. Judith Durham. Ironically she's not of the states, either. Judith has the same type of humble, empathetic personality. Sissel and Judith have probably never met though but I'm certain they know of one another's work. Please listen to Judith's "500 miles" she was part of the Australian group "The Seekers".

For me the real difference here is, of all the great female voices there are and then, (when Siss did this concert), fabulous voices in fabulous bodies, she is the only one to make me chaste and have no lascivious thoughts towards her. I am noble and thoroughly decent in the presence of her voice & personal aurora.

Sissel doesn't try and be better than anyone else. She just IS. Such a wonderful voice, and such a special lady. Wonderful entertainer. She really enjoys singing for people. We love her and listen to her pretty much daily. A great way to relax and unwind.

Sid, luckily you've made it. It's only a few years ago that I came across an astonishing voice singing Solveig's Song (a favorite of mine since I was a wee lad) I found out she was Sissel and there was lots of her delightful singing on KZbin, from age 13 to 52. Many happy hours have I spent since.

I first heard of Sissel when I heard her singing 'Solveigs Song' by Edvard Grieg; so lovely . Anyway, last month, on vacation, I drove through the town of Kyrkjebø in Norway, on my way to Balestrand, ready to pay her a visit, but... no Sissel to be found ! Later, I heard she is from Bergen...Lovely detail: I saw/heard her perform on TV on the morning of May 17th, the Norwegian Constitution Day
