What trail in Sedona do you think has the best views?
@JT_AdventuresАй бұрын
I like the outlaw trail as the 2nd best after Schnebly. But not everyone will agree with that. Ha. Schnebly changes over time as well, not the views but the ruggedness of the trail. I do it pretty much every year since 1991 & it was really easy back then. Traffic on it and erosion have taken toll, I hope it doesn’t get closed from over-use.

@@JT_Adventures I will have to do outlaw again soon. As for the trails with how often they are used by the jeep rental companies and how many people they bring from the tourist sector I doubt the city would allow them to close. I know Soldiers pass they started requiring permits so maybe they will go that route if they have to.

Thanks for another great video! I wasn't originally going to run Schnebly Hill when I visit Sedona because I heard it was overly rocky and a rough ride in any vehicle, but now I'm considering it! I'll be in my Rubicon and a friend in a Tacoma will be joining me, so it's nice to see videos of vehicles other than Jeeps on the trails! Thanks!
@CBOffroadAdventures2 ай бұрын
The first section is quick and not rocky at all. The second and third sections are pretty rocky but the views are well worth it in my opinion. Go 4Runners! Lol
@DannyO0917Ай бұрын
It's pretty rough but my brother did it in a Porsche Cayenne on 33s so you're not going to have any problem in a Rubicon. I took my 5-year-old on this trail in my Rubicon and there was a lot of swaying and jerking in the car so I wouldn't recommend it with a little kid unless they like that stuff.

Awesome video! Those views are hard to beat! We actually just did this one on Sunday, and I hadn't been on it for several years. We missed some of these good views though because we took a few side trails that weaved us down parallel with Schnebly. Still a good day, but loooong haha.

Definitely a long and bumpy trail for sure but worth it for the views.

@3:30 that’s the same spot from National Lampoons Vacation when they get out of the car after realizing Aunt Edna is dead.
@CBOffroadAdventuresАй бұрын
Holy smokes!!!! I think it actually is!!!! How in the world did you catch that? That is crazy 🤣
Fun fact....Schnebly Hill Vista at 3:25 is the spot in the original Vacation movie that the Griswold's discovered Aunt Edna was dead, Clark locks up the brakes, and the family wagon comes to a rest at this very location. It's quite a Hollywood miracle...one moment they're all cruising along I-17 when they discover Aunt Edna is dead and voila the next moment the car comes to a stop 3 miles away at the Schnebly Hill Vista. PS---if you offroad much at all, this trail is not really all that difficult at all in spite of a little bit of a build up in the video. The 4 Runner here was hardly tested at all by this trail...probably the same for the Jeep....lol, Toyota guy here. It is a beautiful drive though as noted in the video.

Someone else said that in the comments and I had to look it up! It blew my mind 😂 I wish I would have known that prior to making the video because I definitely would have included that in the story.

You think an 05 CRV can survive the 2nd portion of the trail????
@CBOffroadAdventuresАй бұрын
I think the section right past the 1st lookout might be a little difficult for your CR-V but that all depends on your experience and comfort level. If you have the AWD version and are used to exploring forest roads I would go to the first look out and check out the road. The road just down from the lookout is the worst of the trail and will give you some indication on if you should move forward or not. If you decide to not keep moving forward you are still able to experience an amazing view of the landscape from that area and it is still worth your time.

Do you have a lift ? If so how much of a lift ? I have a 4Runner same model as yours. I’m wondering if I could keep up with the same trails you are on.
@CBOffroadAdventures2 ай бұрын
I have seen stock 4Runners do this trail with no problems at all. I really think you would be fine. I have a stage 5 Icon Vehicle Dynamics lift on my 4Runner. You could go on a lot of trails we do on the channel since we do destination Offroad on not a lot of rock crawling. If you ever have questions on a trail, we have done, just comment on the video and I can chime in.
