I owned them. they are fantastic. And beautiful flares. The only issue is the lack of more focal lengths and some CA. The 18mm is $6300 which really hurts.

Was thinking about getting these but your concerns are mine as well ... PLUS ..... I can get a nice set of really good ANA's for the same price.

They seem to be massively discounted now, at least here in Germany. The set (missing the 18mm though) goes for under 8k (excl. VAT)... Seems I should be tempted...
