What sensual music! As if Mahler, Wagner, Strauss and Debussy would have sat together. And this recording is truly second to none.

A brilliant performance of this marvelous masterwork. Thank you for sharing. (B.T.W., I wonder where to find an English or French translation of the original Danish text; if someone could help, I'd be really grateful.)

If English translation from German text is sufficient, they are both available at the Brilliant Classics' website. Go search "Gurrelieder" and you can download the leaflet.

One of my top 5 all-time greatest pieces of music! Great rendition, though I think Waldemar's and Tove's voices were slightly weak.

Oh, my gosh! Arnold Schoenberg, the twelve-tone madman, actually composed beautiful music! Who would have guessed! Actually, after 20 minutes, it's not that beautiful. i can't listen to all two hours of this. Sorry.
