They had to, after they changed C'tan from masters of the necrons that did the same to Humans as they had done to necrontyr, to imprisoned slaves to the Necron Dynasties. If the C'tan was not free, they would not be able to create Pariah and give it to all dynasties. But the units where very cool.

I see Pariahs as failed experiments. They were never truly Necrons because they never came from the Necrontyr. At best they were exploitable cannon fodder. More advanced in some respects, but still expendable. The new destroyer versions are basically their replacements.

Born of cold, hard steel and cloaked in the silent shroud of stardust, the Necrons loom as spectral phantoms within the infinite cosmos. They are timeless giants molded from obsidian and fire, their stories inked with the ink of dying stars on the timeless parchment of the universe. Within their mechanical hearts churn the whispered remnants of epochs long evaporated into the abyss, transmuted into quantum echoes that slip through the temporal cracks and spill into the realm of the living. Stars crumble, galaxies collapse. Yet, the Necrons advance, echoes of their implacable stride resonating within the marrow of the universe. They are beings forged from the smithy of eons, fire-tested, and space-tempered, their existence etched deep into the lattice-work of reality, a testament to a sovereignty that refuses to fade into oblivion, a dominion that defies cosmic death with the stubborn persistence of iron and the chill of the cosmic void. As they reclaim their inheritance, they stretch emerald talons across the cosmos, ancient majesty glistening in their glowing gaze. Persistent as the pulsar's beat, relentless as the black hole's grip, they sculpt nightmares and dreams into the cosmos's sprawling canvas, their glory illuminating the grim dark like the ghostly glow of forgotten lighthouses that refuse to yield to the encroaching night. Thus, the Necrons stride forth, wrapped in a regalia of ancient stars and timeless night, rulers of a realm reborn from cosmic dust and dreams of steel, their dominion echoing across the unending vastness, a resounding declaration that the night and the stars belong to them once more.

Their existence is the most fascinating to me out of all the characters in 40k. Simply because they, and they alone, are the original creators of war, love, loss, pain, victory, defeat on a massive scale. Their history and power are beyond all others, exceeding all others. Races we love, possibly all by the old ones, were created to battle them or a failsafe to strike out after the necrons have possibly collapsed: humans

In a way i liked them more when they were less Tomb Kings in space, but models variation to sell has to have explanation. So does their tesla weapon addition seems less creative than Gauss, especially if you read damage description. To add insult to injury for tesla, it's just a glorified lightnings, and w have it in nature in here and had since earth formation.

What do the Adeptus Mechanicus think of the Necron? Surely they hold them in high regard?
@theotv5522 Жыл бұрын
No. If you play the game Mechanicus, they are disgusted with the Necrons because they’re nothing more than monsters that traded their souls and autonomy for power. Despite what the memes say, Mechanicus actually respect the human gene, because that’s where the Emperor was from. There’s a story of a failed assassin temple that wanted to mix Tyranid gene with human gene, and they tried bribing Mechanicus with an STC, AND MECHANICUS REJECTED! Because to mess with human DNA is the biggest sin in their book.

Why can't the necrons let the tyranids devour all biological life and then wake up after the tyranids leave
@mduckernz10 ай бұрын
Because a good deal of them want biological bodies again, and they can’t do that if all the bio life dies out (and I suspect they do not consider taming tyranids to that purpose to be a worthwhile endeavour) 16:37 covers this
