Watched this doc a while back when I first started my application for the Army. I'm now just about to finish the ADSC and get my intake date for the 16th of September to join the Royal Regiment of Scotland. It's been helpful to come back to the documentary throughout my application. How is Charlie? Is he back from Afghan yet?

I myself am trying so hard to get in I've aced every test threw at me but my hearing in my left hear is not great apparently but in my selection I've pass the hearing test twice was getting my letter for training about a week before I was leaving for Catterick I got told no but I won't give up I'm appealing it the army is tough and hard Charlie is right in Wat he says and m full respect to him to anyone going for it it's so worth it just hope I get my chance

Hello Nathan, When I did my medicals and sent them to the Army Doctors they usually take around 4-6 weeks, however mine came early. I only found out about mine because I went into the careers office to do my next part and he checked and he was surprised also that they had been done fast. Best thing to do is go into the careers office and keep asking because they can be slow. Over all it took me around 12-13 months for my whole process but finally I have my phase one in September. Good Luck!

In a house like that I can see why his parents said "we can do better than the army", it's just what people think of hit here in England. I'm from a middle class family and my parent was the same, but if you know it's what you want to do, there's nothing else worth doing. You only get it if you've got it.

@31JollyRoger The archetype of the good soldier waging war to defend against “evil” is one of the most revered figures in countries with long military traditions. We are taught that the soldiers play a primary role, always ready to defend their homeland and all those good citizens who are fortunate enough to live where freedom, justice, and equality reign.

Don't brag about things that you haven't done. Everything goes better in your imagination than in real life, I don't think either of us can really imagine what emotions go through you during a fire fight. What I do know is that many boys that "return" from wars and are traumatized for life.

@31JollyRoger This archetype of the soldier waging war is a corruption of the archetype of the champion of justice. The noble feeling from pursuing justice and defending the weak finds its fullest expression within a community where some injustice or abuse of power has occurred. Soldiers should have the right to stay where they would be really useful, living a peaceful and harmonious existence within their communities.

@31JollyRoger If we imagine our soldiers happy within their communities and doing what they love, that is, what they want by calling, we would then have brave people in every community. We would have very capable and just men and women who would be responsible for peacefully mediating conflicts within the community. They would also keep an eye on local authorities to prevent any abuse or corruption. In many cases, they could provide an effective recourse to slowly grinding justice.

Hey, you should be able to apply at 15 and 7 months. Make sure you're also never late when you have booked appointments otherwise they will get pissy. Also with the fitness I'd recommend searching online for the Army fitness guide, either way they give you it but you should start early, it'll do you a lot of good. I'd recommend every 2 days. Good luck :)

Just because you couldn't over come cowardice in the face of the enemy doesn't mean that every eighteen year old would panic. That is what training is for, to make every man a warrior capable of what is needed of him in theater. I am in the application process to the British Army Infantry. I'm fifteen and eleven months. I know I can hold my own.

@31JollyRoger Since then, the consciousness of the planet has evolved. Gradually over the following decades, voices began to be heard protesting the wars. Thanks to this elevation of consciousness, large numbers of people around the world began to forget the war experiences of their ancestors, and subsequent generations began to heal. They began to reject the idea that violence is inherent in human nature, and so therefore it was not possible to have any more large-scale wars.

@31JollyRoger These images must be sufficiently focused and aligned so that the demonstration does not dissolve in contradictions. That is why certain images, emotions, and sounds of war are repeated in all the audiovisual media. An entire generation grew up reading Life magazine and having black and white images of war implanted in their minds. Young people today live trapped in the archetypal world of video games and movies, and their minds are also being implanted with images of violence.

@31JollyRoger To keep the archetype of the war in the consciousness of these populations, the leaders have used a variety of media including film, television, and more recently, videogames. The purpose is clear: to manifest a war, it is necessary to get a momentum of hatred and fear in the collective unconscious. They have to project and sustain these images and feelings in enough people over a period of time sufficient to permit its manifestation on the physical plane.

Hey there, I'd recommended looking up the Army fitness guide online and doing training every 2 days. It really does help when you come to Selection. As long as you get your time between 9-10:30 minutes you'll be fine, even if you do have a 14 minute limit. Push for the 9s, or 10s, Aslong as you work hard you'll get the job choice you want. If you need more help or advice, add my skype: Secital and I'll be happy to help as I've finished my process for the Army and leave soon for Phase One.

My dream is to become a royal marine commando! i am soon 16 (august 2016), i really wanna go to Lympstone to become a commando but the problem is my family doesn't think i can do it... they say that i am not ready yet, i will admit i'm not that muscular but i can still do stuff. Another problem is that i saw on the webpage that people from northern Ireland can join and people that live in the UK, but i live in France with my family, i have an english mother and an Irish father, i my self i'm "Irish", i have been worrying for a long time about this cause it just mite ruin my dream... And i would just like to add, pls don't make any comments about the name of my channel or what i do by saying that life isn't a video game etc... cause i know exactly what to expect if i get into the army/navy.

Although we have been bombarded with images of war for eons, this archetype is now being removed from the conscious mind. This archetype has been around for millennia on the material plane and has been manifested consistently, reaching its apotheosis in the recent world wars. Then it was implanted in the minds of humanity so that almost all the population justified the war and its dire consequences as necessary and even glorious and heroic.

but it does have a potential oil pipeline that was proposed in 2000 which would have economically benefitted surrounding countries such as Pakistan which could have resulted in pressure on the dollar as world reserve currency. Also, the taliban were burning all the poppy fields so the illegal drug operation:(from which black ops and intel agencies were taking a cut were running dry). Then 911 conveniently ahppened:(which can be proven to be the work of controlled demolition and remote planes).
