Well recovered, that scramble is no place to drop a spike on SHR in winter. I'd have had a leash on my axe by that point 😮

Are those Scarpa Charmoz boots by any chance? I’ve got a pair and I’ve found that lever lock C2 crampons can slip off them when you least expect it, so much so that I’ve actually bought a new pair of crampons to see if they stay on any better.
