this was a beautiful documentary. I think it is important for us, the secular and even non-catholic world, to listen closely to the wisdom of these sisters. We all can learn much, incorporate their wisdom and advise into our secular lives and grow in faith. and hopefully make this a better world.....one day at a time...one person at a time. Beautiful and inspiring documentary! The cinematography is stunning. Thank you. As these are Cistercian Sisters, would they be of the Strict Observance (OCSO) or of the Common Observance? Not sure if that distinction applies to Cistercian women's communities! I don't think they are of the Strict Observance or they would be called Trappistines. If anyone can shed some light an answer to on my question, it would be appreciated. Thank you from Baltimore, MD, USA

Unlike some other monastic orders, these Cistercian sister do not take a"vow of silence". There are however rules they follow to maintain what they call an "atmosphere of silence".
