This is what happens when you get people who aren't educators opening schools. They have no idea what they're doing and think their background in tech transfers to educating children, it doesn't. Instead of investing millions into computers and software to monitor kids like they're in a futuristic prison, put that money into hiring more qualified, play-based and project-based teachers so that they have smaller classrooms and can give students individual attention and allow them to explore indoor and outdoor learning environments freely without having a teacher always telling them what to do. Kids need to think for themselves and explore the real world instead of clicking on a screen all day. Alt School shut down in 2019 and failed. They changed their name and are a software company. Not surprised at all that it failed. These tech bros need to invest in teachers, not tech. I used to be a Reggio Emilia teacher and my students explored indoor and outdoor centers, could choose what they wanted to do and learn every day, and didn't have screens in the class at all. Reggio students are more independent, creative, and can think for themselves.
