There are so many unique quirks. It's such a fun universe. One is born with a quirk, but it's one of those traits that doesn't usually manifest until early childhood. Little Deku was at the doctor because he should've already shown signs of a quirk if he had one.

This world loves hero society so much if you have a student that became a hero your school gets extra funding and gets more chances of recommended students to go to your school. So that's why the teacher just lets them bully him. Even though this will be known as illegal quirkless discrimination but he stuck with it because it's probably the only school close enough to home.

Bakugo is a complex person. Yes, at first glance, he just comes across as a stock bully character. But there's a lot more to him than that you'll learn throughout the series.

As an aging 40 yr old government worker, I can tell you they hit the ball out of the park with this show. If you don't tear up, get weirdly inspired, or change some part of your life for the better because of this show, I'd suggest therapy focusing on emotional management, because something would have to be BROKE inside. As you might tell it helped me figure out some therapy myself lol. Season 1 is kind of slow, but not really. Have fun!

In regard to everyone standing around watching instead of running, it's a good observation, and a lot of shows would just have that because it's human nature or fits what they want to do. In the case of this series, the nature of society is addressed a lot, and how people have been placated into taking things for granted and elevating heroes too much. It's because of the era of peace that All-Might in particular has ushered in that people have become numb to danger, and flaws and cracks in that paradigm are highlighted over time.

14:45 The people are reacting the way they are because they live in a superhero society. Stuff like this is a regular occurrence and there's always a hero to save the day. Most situations like this turn out fine and the people cheer. It's only funny to us because explosions aren't something you're average person sees every day.

honestly the first few episodes have the least amount of 'school' at least for a while XD the BIGGEST thing to remember about this is they are in Japan for alot of us who grew up watching anime we are versed in the classic Japanese schooling tropes that are used in almost every anime that has a high school lol i suggest you look up a little bit about how Japans system works and the little things that are so different from the us or youll continue to be super lost XD things like school festivals where each class has to do something and then families and the public come in to enjoy what the kids put on, study camps, and i THINK i am not 100% sure i say this only from watching Anime their Year starts in the spring after winter break not in the fall :o as for other anime that deal with schools Ouran high school host club is great XD Fruits basket recently got a remake, Spy x family is adorable and a take on elementary :3 Food wars also pretty peak as far as school anime XD Iroduku: The World in Colors, was cute a bit of magic and following friends in a photography club :3 The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World is another good one, A Returner's Magic Should Be Special is interesting as far as school based anime go. there are also anime that while they dont deal directly with school they get into education in different times, Ascendance of a Bookworm while an Isakai(main character is not from the world they are in typically someone from modern japan) that is set in a medieval time frame where there isnt any school for kids the MC is obsessed with books and starts to attempt different ways of making paper and pulls from historical references from Egyptian papyrus all the way up to talking about the invention of the letter press :D Similarly 'Sweet Reincarnation' does similar with pastries/sugar :3

The series is fine, but they completely wasted Izuku. He could've been a really cool and intelligent hero without powers like Batman, but they quickly tossed the "I can be a hero without powers" thing away and cheapened him.

wym, they didn’t(he is basically like iron man and Batman in the mha ending), they didn’t waste izuku
@inkchariot61479 күн бұрын
@snowdude8583 That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about how Horikoshi started Izuku as someone who wanted to prove that he doesn't need to be born with a Quirk to be a hero, but tossed that concept away a few chapters later. Izuku was a wasted character the moment All Might gave him One For All, the most broken Quirk in the world.

@snowdude8583 It was nepotism that made Izuku what he is, not effort, talent or intelligence.

@kitebrethren9 күн бұрын
My brother in Christ, they have an entire spinoff series about this, and the main series had absolutely no intention of telling this story. This is not the story of MHA. Izuku is not “wasted” because he has a power. He has so much insight that he gained while not having a power that pushes him above his peers. You think he’s “cheapened” because you want to watch a different show. Honestly Batman is a lot cheaper because he just gets the “well he’s Batman” excuse and gets to do all sorts of nonsensical bullshit while Izuku has to actually work for what he has. Although that probably depends upon which of the 300 versions of Batman we’re talking about. Yes, he’s given a power, but he earns it through the heroic actions he takes and the amount of work he has to put in to use it properly. Also, with some of the villains he has to fight against later in the series, it would honestly cheapen the power and terror of their quirks if a quirkless kid can beat them up, thus negating the entire premise of the show with the professional heroes, as police could just do their jobs. Then there would be no MHA.
