I have a very good friend with sometimes debilitating anxiety. This can mean being unable to move or interact and a lot of hand flicking. However, they have been teaching for years and have never had such an issue in the environment. It is controlled and emphasizes their delight in conversation and teaching while making it less likely to experience unexpected over stimulation. I think it has made them a thoughtful person that carries that to their classrooms, such a mindfulness for others who may have their own considerations. They are also the strongest person I know, not in a condescending way but in a legitimate "I would never want to compete with you in some metric on our successes" kind of way. Thank you for sharing the TEDx Talk. The example of a right handed vs left handed drive through was a great illustration and emphasizes the importance of accessibility.
