nope! I try to observe before meeting the student so usually they dont even know who I am. I also email the teacher beforehand so they can give me a seat towards the back or the side and I can come in and leave quietly.

Hi Tiffany! I really enjoy watching your videos! I am currently going into my internship year. I am thinking of moving to Virginia once I finish my internship (California is getting too expensive😅) I believe you said you live in Virginia? I am having trouble finding the salary schedules for school psychologists in school districts in Virginia. Are school psychs under the same pay scale as teachers or is it under something different? How do you find the cost of living in Virginia? Do you find that your salary is sufficient?

This completely depends on the district and how they code/title your position. Some are on a teacher’s salary with additional pay for MA+30. Others have a completely separate scale since the number of work days are different. I had to ask around but it was pretty difficult to figure out the pay scale until I actually got an offer for some of the districts. Salary isn’t bad but our COL is higher than other states, especially if you’re in the northern VA area. DM me on ig if you have any specific questions! We definitely need more psychs around here
