Republicans Prayers & Thoughts should be stopping this madness by now. Why isn't it working?
@jpkralКүн бұрын
Because prayers and thoughts are not used to "fix the problem", it's to wish the best for the families that are suffering from the loss. It's not that complicated.

How horrible is it that many of these casualties may be denied their healthcare claim? These innocent victims will be dealing with the pain and trauma for the rest of their lives for being shot and then stuck with tens of thousands of dollars in hospital bills.
Yeah, because compassion and empathy are over-rated and definitely not something we need more of.

Let's review a couple of facts It is already illegal for a 16 year old to possess a handgun. It is already illegal to take a handgun to a school. Red flag laws are unconstitutional because they deny due process under the 4th amendment. It's tragic, but no new laws are necessary. Who is the adult who allowed this child to get hold of this weapon? That is the pertinent question.

@h14resells64Күн бұрын
All those thoughts and prayers did nothing? color me surprised
@SplashOfOrangeКүн бұрын
Because doing this kind of thing isn't illegal enough already? It's not a gun problem because the guns have always been here and were even easier to get in the past. And it's not a lack-of-law problem because this was already illegal. It's tragic, but "access to guns" is a placebo that doesn't address the root causes. We'll wait for more info of course, but in almost every case the gun control measures suggested in response wouldn't have prevented the incident anyway, or the incident shows that more serious laws were violated which shows the futility of thinking "more law" has anything to do with the actual solution.
@jpkralКүн бұрын
Yes because the gun alone killed people, not the individual behind the trigger. Call me crazy but taking guns away from law-abiding citizens, that want to protect their family, isn't going to fix the school shootings that are happening.
@GooglePlayGamesAccountКүн бұрын
@SplashOfOrange Yes, this has not always been an issue. However, now that it is, we need to make LAWS that rise to this issue. Australia was able to do a buy back and restrict guns when Port arthur happened, so your claim of laws not doing anything is incorrect.

You got the first half right, the 2nd half though -- lack of legitimate thoughts and concern for each other is exactly the problem. It's weird that you mock having compassion and empathy for those who are hurting. Should we do MORE than that? Of course, but it's bizarre that it's trendy to downplay the first and more important component of actually caring for each other in the first place. 🧡

@@RS-Caleb Right, the D's keep playing the same blue-pill broken record of "laws" that are clearly being broken anyway, while R's have at least tried to harden schools to protect our kids even if just as an interim solution. An event like this was pretty callable by anyone with a finger on the pulse and paying attention imo. Misandry has been okayed in teaching the new generations and it's just going to be the new rising hate group. We didn't replace hate with no hate, we just changed the group it's ok to hate on. Reminds me of that Facebook thing that happened when they tried to make a gender and race blind algorithm for combatting hate speech, and instead of what they expected something like 90% or something to that effect of the hate was directed at men

School shootings are heartbreaking and tragic events, and they highlight the deep brokenness in our world. As Christians, we recognize that sin and evil exist because of humanity's separation from God. When God’s presence, truth, and moral foundation are removed from homes, hearts, and societies, the void can lead to destructive behavior, as the enemy thrives in places where God is rejected. The Bible reminds us that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). The demonic influence in these acts cannot be overlooked. However, it’s also a call for Christians to be light in a dark world-to live out and share God’s love, truth, and hope with others. Prayer, teaching godly principles in the home, and spreading the message of Jesus can bring healing to broken lives. While we may not be able to control the actions of others, we can pray for our communities, for the hearts of young people to turn to Christ, and for God to heal the wounds caused by such tragedies. God’s love and the power of the gospel are what ultimately overcome evil.

These are the "Last" of the "Last Day's" Matthew 24:3-14. Jesus said it would be this way during the time of his "Presence" and the "Conclusion" of this system of things. He compared this time period to the days of Noah (Matthew 24:37/ Luke 17:26,27). Why? Just as it was in Noah's day the earth is filled with "Violence." Compare Genesis 6:11-13. Things are going from bad to worse. Seek God and his righteousness, seek meekness, seek Gods Kingdom while there is still time. Compare Zephaniah 2:3 and Matthew 24:14. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families.
