Before the 90's, OWASS was the only test center for the administration of SAT and TOEFL exams in Ghana and as a result, most of the students in Ghana that had scholarships to go to schools like Havard, MIT, Yale, Stanford and Columbia in the US were from OWASS. God bless Mr. JC Flynt.

What makes the numbering system great is that, if let's say someone completed in 2002 with number BC 200...Today he can go to the school to look for the current 200... let's say BY 200. The last figure of your number determines the house you'll be. It makes identification very simple

Stop being tribal. Owass is a school attended by all Ghanaians. As it stands now, Kumasi has slowly become the hub of education for the Northern sector of Ghana and is on track to "outshine" Cape Coast as the educational hub of Ghana. Students in Owass come from Accra, Volta Region, the Northern parts and even Central region. So don't assume that Students there are "Asantes"
