Ørestad Gymnasium in Denmark has no walls, no classrooms and spaces that are only loosely defined by permeable borders. Classes are taking place in these open spaces and use IT teaching. The staircase is the focal point of the building and the symbol of the school. Here students can chat meet their friends, and get some exercise with the frequent up-and down trips. Three circular areas are dedicated to breaks and free time in between lessons, although students also use these as a work area.
The architecture and design of this building challenges traditional teaching methods. Teachers agree that they have to prepare and teaching differently, taking into account constant noise and movements.

Danish classrooms are actually quite silent, there tends to be no fooling around and many take it seriously. The spaces are half closed and some classrooms have silencing glass that keeps noise out

@@ovalsteiner6543 Germans rebuilt their country after Hitler died, I don't think iraq has already started a democratic reform, take into account that the neighboring countries along with the us helped Germany to re-establish democracy, so yeah.. germans didn't rebuild their country by themselves

kind of ridiculous honestly. this is probably so aggravating for people with adhd. soon theyre gonna be like "let's make a school.. without teachers" and the whole world will be like wow Scandinavia so progressive.

Talk about a homogeneous group of people with minimal diversification. I have worked in a building built with "hippie" ideas with open spaces.....it was a complete disaster and eventually converted to separate rooms. Pie in the sky....grass is always greener BS. If some school system was perfect with ultimate diversification (behavioral problems, language etc etc) we would all be doing it.

@@fusitv4382 it means that conservative politicians, even government politicians have been pelted with coins when visiting this "Gymnasium", because the students of a certain ethnicity didn't like their opinions. An open learning environment didn't teach the students of this institution the basic rules of living in a democratic society.
