tbf you could tell they had a filter during the scenes where she was natural. Like just look at the surroundings and her hair, its ever so slightly more blurry. Its done to hide any blemishes or impurities, so she probably doesnt look as good as you see. Still looks better than caked in make-up tho

That's what makes her more confident and ok in herself because she's self conscious because she has scars on her face. even if her makeup is too much they shouldn't be taking the piss out of her, she literally said she wears it to cover up her scars and it makes her feel better about them.

Tbh i dont think people need to get that mad about the teachers discussing her make up. Its against school ruled in the UK for girls to wear anything more than concealer on spots of a little bit of mascara but the teachers werent being derogatory they were having a genuine conversation about concerns over her self confidence which is fair because teachers are responsible for monitoring kids mental health as well as their education

a lot of the girls in my year seem to have had this type of glow up. my favourite case of this was one of the most popular girls in school started to not wear makeup despite having loads of acne (i admired her for that) and then started to dress differently and then came out as bisexual, separated herself from the popular group and went full socialist climate activist. the only makeup she wears now is eyeliner as angry as her. now her and her friends are like characters in a show. short angry and justice-seeking bisexual who will kill a man, gentle theatre girl with the kindest soul and most beautiful voice and tall chill gay dude with hair to rival brian may. they are the epitome of elegance and i admire them from all separating from their toxic groups and coming into their own.
