The instrumental in the Dexys version is unmatched. The brass instruments. Violin. One of the greatest compositions in music history. These kids are great, but the original is much more of a world class sound.

The juicy stuff is that the group of vocalist in the background was having a f-ing party and enjoying the hell out of their time in the studio! This is how it should be. This is such a classic song and very hard to copy and make it sound right. These kids do a fantastic job! Lead singer is just outstanding. She's effortless in her vocal range and power projection. Great job by everyone !

What separates the truly great vocalists from the good ones is sense of timing, rhythm, and inflections between this notes. This girl is a natural!! Thoroughly impressed.... And WOW props to the drummer for being rock solid through all the tempo and rhythm changes. There is a reason not a lot of bands pull this song off. @School of Rock Please do more hits from the beloved late 70s / early 80s new wave era!!

I never thought I would ever hear a cover by kids no less that would have me smiling & toe tapping like the original! You guys nailed it! Awesome. Real musicians you all are. School of Rock reminds me of back in the day when I was in 2 high school bands. The concert band and the stage band which played jazz. We had the same togetherness and friendship with our fellow band members. I went on 2 trips and performed in the state band interschool competitions and both our bands won. We also went across the state on school band exchange programs where we hosted other school bands staying with us and playing at our school and we stayed and played at their school for a couple days. The school of rock reminds me of those times. Best days of my life. I'm glad the school of rock exists for kids today as it seems schools are dropping their music programs for other things. Keep music alive everybody and keep on rockin'.
