I feel like ATH is a perfume savant. He was one of the first reviewers I saw when I recently started taking an interest in fragrances, along with yourself. I just recieved a load of samples along with a purchase of Tabac and I'm working my way through them. I love oud generally and would compare Aaron's Oud to Oud Wood and Accord Oud by Byredo. I can't wait to try the rest of the samples.

I watch Aaron all the time and learn a lot. Last year I bought several of his scents during the Unicorn sale and regrettably I did not have a good guide to go on so I did not purchase any of the scents you mentioned, but I did end up loving Alpha Male and Notorious and even one called Odyssey( now discontinued). I do also feel like he releases a lot and then discontinues the scents. I dont mind that too much if it means that hes replacing it with something improved, but it does get tiring to see a scent you like get discontinued so often. I do feel he is a star in the making and will only get better over time. What he has not yet done is release a bona-fide classic. I mean to say that despite your love of Oud he has not released something that has people over the moon just yet. I know he will eventually because hes so talented, but for me I agree consolidating the lines will help clear out the clutter. Great video and thank you for the guide I needed.

He is the detailed technician's perfumer, describing in great detail the chemicals used to emulate natural ingredients. In addition, I have a fondness for his video presentation style. I like watching ATH! The way he describes fragrances is amazing and professionally done. And since he mentioned that he has a middle eastern genes, by that fragrances don’t last enough on his skin, and that’s why he makes beast mode performers to solve this issue. Middle eastern genes = less performance on skin...? So it seem that i have certain traits of middle eastern in my bloodlines even though i am Asian. No wonder most of my frags doesn't perform on me.

I've done a thorough side by side with blood orange, haze blue and black and can honestly say there is quite a big difference in smell for me personally, not in the opening but rather the drydown. Haze blue is bright, haze black is also extremely similar but after an hour becomes creamier whereas blue stays bright. Blood orange I really enjoy the opening but not a fan of the woddyesque drydown. Dont get me wrong it's nice but much prefer haze. Yet to try Neon but will do so asap and also I must admit it was a tough choice originally between high Voltage and the 2 haze perfumes. Really love a certain note in high Voltage , some kind of citrus that is just phenomenal, only issue is the slight sharpness I get from it that I dont get with either of the haze. Due to this I'd choose haze blue and black for summer day and nights but your right, they are strong!

I like how you mentioned the fact that he could pretty much trim the fat, Ive smelled like all of them too and most are actually good, but like 30% of them share similar vibes with another too much to the point where I think he could eliminate a few. Example: Haze blue vs Neon.

This is a great video, I've only tried 3 of his fragrances and I think each one is beautiful, it's a shame that his fragrances are underhyped, this is the only buying guide of his stuff, their is one other video ranking ATH's best masculine fragrances but not much else apart from serveral reviews on just one of his fragrances. Since he's revised & relaunched his line would you do an updated buying guide?

I absolutely love Neon. I’d describe it as a sweeter take on the Aventus DNA that is aimed at a younger market. It’s fantastic. Daddy is also a beautiful fragrance. Creamy, vanilla Oud. I agree the performance isn’t the best though.

I really like your honesty with regards to your criticisms of his work. I think perhaps the volume of products he is releasing is very much an either or situation. As you say, there might be several that are similar in vibe and for some people that might be confusing and or annoying (especially with regards to availability). However, I personally think it's kinda cool. You get to sample several ones, and you can pick one that is more to your liking. And if you are the type of person who likes to switch around with your scents, then it's nice to have several to choose from. And, I feel like it's perhaps more about the artistry over the commercial gains with this approach? It feels like Aaron gets to express himself much more by not being limited by having, say 10 fragrances. So to me it is kind of similar to having a painter or musician make the work they want to rather than focusing on the money they can make. Lovely review btw, I was just trying to express my two cents on this. Have a great one!

You don't have to order straight from the actual designer. Maxaroma is a retailer in the US that charges like $8 UPS Ground. I don't order any fragrances straight from the actual designer. Dior or Chanel any of them. Not sure what country you are in but if outside a major country international shipping involves a lot

Yea, the UK shipping prices are ridiculous. It's not Aaron's fault, though, and he is working out deals with other distributors in Europe. He has recently partnered with some shop in Germany, maybe they could ship to you cheaper than the UK?

I ordered two 10 ml fragrances and they came out on a huge box, you could fit two shoe boxes in it. I believe that made the shipping fees so high, completely unnecessary.

I have purchased many from him and always been quick shipping and delivery. I do like most of his fragragrances, but a few I feel does not work on me at all. It is very hit an miss and looking forward to him doing smaller bottles/testers. I do like Supersonic fragrance and body fixitive and the Red Fever Body Butter., both work very well together. I do hope he will do a 5ml,10ml and the the full bottle size. If they were refillible that would be perfect. These are just my views.

hey, that's a great overview! Im thinking about testing guapo, since really like Terre d'Hermes. Besides, I'd love to hear you talk more about your favorite (ATH) fragrances individually. I know it's not really your style to make a whole video about only one fragrance (yet :P) but I thought I'd just let you know that I'd be really interested in that. I can image that other people would like that aswell, since there is a lot of good fragrance content out there for beginners (that is often a bit shallow, I'm thinking "Top 10 this and that"), but not really so many deep dives into personal expierences and associations with scents. I think listening to your personal emotions and experiences with one fragrance is great, because there's really no objective side to fragrances (other than compliment factor) and we need to look at reviews in context of ther reviewers taste and livestyle. And that way people can idenify even more with you and get to know your style and way of thinking, so that might help them to transfer the information you give them to their own lives. Plus I'd really like to have more content about the ATH line xD Think about it ;) Greetings from Germany.

Agree with most of what you said, but Ozone is very different to Homme. Homme is very similar to Prada L'Homme Intense, but with beast mode performance, whereas I feel that Ozone is a creamy minty summer scent (and contains no iris), and much less sweet. Personally I don't think Ozone is redundant at all, and I'd be gutted if he discontinued it.

Boss Bastard lasts for ages, and even Blood Orange lasts much longer than the average citrus fragrance. Along with Freddie Albrighton, ATH is my favourite British house.

The man is a genius Rose is by far his best creation , but its discontinued ,if you ring his workshop in manchester he said he would make some more even one bottle (this was over 20 months ago before he has grown his company) ,,, Its an absolute winner I have nearly 70 fragrances this is the one that by far people ask what it is Im wearing .. I recently revisited Ozone and Boss Bastard. I bought a 10ml of each a few years ago. Both have this similar synthetic mess as a base, both smelled almost the same except Boss Bastard had a hint of tobacco and Ozone had a hint of lime and coconut. The synthetics were all I could smell after a while, seriously headache inducing. I like his videos and descriptions, but if the rest of his stuff has similar synthetics, then I don't think I'll like them.

I am a fragrance collector and ATH is my favorite house. I very much disagree with the thought of consolidating because of similarities. I personally feel they are not so similar that it doesn't make sense to own both. For example I have both Haze Black and Haze Blue there are similarities or could be used for the same situation but both a great and different enough I enjoy both. I am in fragrance groups with 10's of thousands of people most love his fragrances some of the consistently favorites are Daddy, Ozone, Onyx, and the Hazes. The only real complaints are availability in the US and the atomizers. My personal favorites are Daddy, Notorious, the Haze's, and Ozone. I very much want to get Guapo and Legend.

I agree in relation to collection size - it’s the same for Navitus Parfums - WAY too many fragrances and no ‘collections’ to make it easier for a consumer to know what’s what… ATH is not at THAT level, but having lots and lots of fragrances with unique names makes it hard for a consumer

This is just my thought but I think because Aaron’s fragrances use so much naturals depending on the skins they come off quite different in terms of performance and smell. Daddy is a house filler lol I say that cuz when I wore it my brother said he smelt it around the entire house and this one I smell for 24 hours. I sprayed it on my friend and he got compliments 10 hours later at his night job working at a sushi restaurant. I find this very interesting

I've been hearing good things about daddy. I wore onyx extreme to a car show today. It didn't last at all, maybe 3 hrs. The temperature was around 78, I sprayed 7 total areas. I'm 6'6" so I'm trying to cover a lot more area. I'll try it in the cooler months to see how it performs. I have Raw Cherry as well, it does not perform in hot weather at all. I've been reading about that one as well. It's a Cooler weather scent. I just want something that projects and last. They are a 10ml sample size. I have 7 other of his scents. So far they are not performing as I would hope. This is odd, others have had great success .

@@unclemel8276 I honestly think u may be nose blind. If u got your fragrances from aaron him self there could be one reason. I think they need to macerate and sit for a bit. Luna forbidden and other one si own where so week and only lasted no more then 4 hours. But now they last for a day I even got a compliment the next morning from forbidden. But you may be nose blind. Or again with my other theory it could just be your skin chemistry

She said barley. That's her nose about 2inches away from my shirt. I'm going to try Daddy next. Apparently, that's a performance monster. I haven't smelled Luna or forbidden. Are you wearing those in warm weather? I'll let my other samples sit a bit more. Thanks

For me, legend is an amazing signature everyday scent. Guapo is nice but more office safe not as sexy as I thought it would be. Maverick smells slightly like 1 million nice not my favourite. Haze blue has the best opening ever can't wait try blood orange.

My personal favourites are Guapo and the heavily underrated and under mentioned Adonis. Love both of them. Blood Orange is very good for summer too. I do like Legend too and I think the upcoming Hard Candy would probably complete my top 5. Haze Blue smells like Light Blue Forever, heavy on the grapefruit. Notorious is heavy on pineapple but nice, the upcoming High Voltage is a lot like Aventus. I wasn't too keen on Maverick, Ozone (too much coconut). Raw Cherry isn't for me but I can see the appeal. That's all I've tried so far I think.

There is something similar to Roja’s Elysium in the opening of Haze Blue. But then they go in different directions. Roja quickly becomes a vetiver scent but Haze pushes forward for a long time.

@@kolliq I don't get the Elysium vibe with Haze Blue myself but everyone will pickup different things I guess. To me it's just very similar to LB Forever. I do get the Elysium vibe with Guapo for sure though, heavy on the Vetiver that one. I think Guapo is the better fragrance though as Elysium is too weak and way overpriced for the performance.

I love layering the 2 Hazes, that way you get the room-filling sillage of Blue and the extended longevity and rich undertones of Black. I love my Hard Candy sample and will definitely be getting a full bottle of it. Sadly, High Voltage and Guapo both had a bit too much Ambroxan in them. I'm sensitive to Ambroxan and just a bit too much causes me to go completely nose-blind in minutes so I can't even enjoy what I'm wearing. Bummer because they smelled great for the brief few moments I could detect them. Still, though, my all time fave from him is Smoulder. Wish he and Chris would bring it back so more people could experience it.

For instance, a couple months ago he said in a My2Scents livestream that he absolutely would not be bringing it back...but just a couple weeks before that he had told someone in the comments of another video that he had a new batch macerating already so it would be ready for a fall release. Who knows? lol

Aaron is just putting out fragrances after fragrances, he’s passionate for this and it’s very good quality of perfumery. I do own a few of his fragrances 🦄 next one on my list is raw cherry

Yeah and many smell the same. He also uses fake lab grown Oud. Real Oud is VERY expensive.

@@ncpmadhead same background oud note as hard candy and onyx. Not barnyard like but sweet oud. Apple freshness up top but made as a afternoon/evening fragrance based on the supporting notes. Woody, fruity, sweet, spicy, kinda gourmand but kinda fresh in a way
