It's that throw away culture Kevin. Just because it's broken don't mean it doesn't have a use in other ways. That's probably why you don't see to many repair shops around. When I was growing up if something broke you couldn't just run to town and buy another. You spent the time and fixed it. In your case you bring beautiful knives back to life. Keep up the good work.

I bought my dad a Case pocket knife probably close to 30 years ago now....He kept it in his truck and with a few months I notice alot of rust...I was really feeling bad thinking I spent big money 💰 probably 30 bucks for this knife and thought it should never rust...I found the address to case in the paper work and wote them a letter I was around 10-12 years old explaining my situation...to my surprise about two weeks later after I forgot all about it I received a brand new pocket knife from Case and a letter that said thank you for the letter hope this knife doesn't rust and don't forget to oil it....I've been a Case fan ever since...they didn't have to send me a new knife but they took the time and earned a lifetime customer

Love those folding hunters, Old Timer's, Uncle Henry's, Buck 110's, Case folding hunters. They're one of my favorite patterns. I got a 110 when I was 16 and lost it within a year, still makes me sick thinking about it. Great video Kevin, stay sharp brother. God bless

Hi Kevin. That repair turned out very nice. What a beautiful knife. The corkscrew with the French words on it is called a Sommeliers tool. It is used for opening wine bottles. The small blade is for cutting the foil, the corkscrew removes the cork and the other piece helps remove the cork.

That Ixl, is beautiful, the back springs are designed that way so the smaller blades use one spring each but the main blade uses both. An excellent design.

Yes your correct some guys call them splitbacks. They are not easy to get right alot of whittler knives are made that way.

Thank you for the giveaway you held and all the cool things you gave away . I felt frustrated at times watching the comments… I apologize for the way some of them people were acting , and although I didn’t win anything I had fun watching you do your first one. You did great. Good morning Doc, the AF Logistics Command is a branch within the Air Force that is responsible for the storage, depot level maintenance, spare parts procurement for the aircraft and missiles operated and maintained by the Air Force. Also just an observation when you are installing a new pin in a knife like that where you grind a point on the rod if you drive the pin down to where the point is on the long side you can then cut it off and will have a piece of pin material with a point already on it saving you the process for the next time. Just a casual observation from an old retired Air Force technician.

Beautiful work as always Kevin. Hey so I might have a helpful tip? I've used it to good success personally so maybe something you would want to look into. But ELECTRIC DUSTER! Dude these things blast out air like crazy! They really help get out nasty gunk, just another tool to potential add to your knife clean up regiment lol. Compressed air would work just as well, but I like how small electric dusters are. (Metro Ed500 is what I use)
