Hit those brass Zippos with some Flitz and they will shine like new money. You know you can use Flitz on a muslin buffing wheel and it will pollish the hell out of brass, silver and stainless. Try it and you will love it.

I picked up a Spitfire based on what you recommended but mine is orange, but it is awfully hard to open one handed and have been actually having to use both hands to open and unlock too

They are a little tight to start with but loosen up the more you use it. Try adding a little oil that should help.
