I'm the proud owner of an S&L DL in 6,5x55 swede, and I thnk it's gonna be a "keeper" for the rest of my life...... This is the most precise rifle I have owned... submoa on 200m. (15mm). And then it's an 100% danish rifle. (national pride is allowed)

I think the 'Classic' or 'Classic traveller' has been re-badged here in Australia as the 'Hunter'. It's now got the two screws that release the barrel embedded in the side of the stock. I really like the barrel release to completely change calibre. Barrels are pricey though (around $1000) and so are replacement magazines. ($160/3 rnd) ($225/5 rnd). But $1000 and another mag IF you need it are a small price to pay for what is really a second Schultz and Larsen. Another saving is that you don't have to buy new optics for every new rifle because you're only buying a barrel.

That’s a lot cheaper than a Blaser and it’s nice to hear that it’s all metal (especially the magazine).

The smoothest action of all bolt rifles I ever used and owned. The barrels are although very good.

I'm up to three S&L Victories now; 22-250, .243 & .270. Might get the relevant bolt, barrel & magazine for .375 Ruger if I do an Africa trip in 2021.

I have one left hand with 30-06 and 6.5x55 The bolt feels like it’s running on linear bearings. High quality metal matching finish. The timber has a tight grain. Which means a slow growing tree. Nice and hard with good weight. Takes the recoil of heavy rounds.great feel and balance 100 meters one hole. The only thing I don’t like is the magazine button release. It’s to easy. Might release while hunting. Told the blueing on the rifle is extra rust resistant. But hiking hunting for hours in summer. Sweat will rust any finish. This rifle is a keeper. 98/100

Very nice 👍. I really like the classic beauty and the ability to switch barrels and calibers. I'm thinking a .243 and a .308 would be perfect for me in America. I would also like a good target aperture sight for this rifle. Thanks

Sealeh, thanks! I envy you, as we cannot use silencers here. A good friend has a S&L in 6.5x55 and has had many successful hunts with it.

Hi there I did a very quick search on the net but I couldn't see if they did any left handed versions of the classic. If they did I'd be really keen

They most certainly do. Not the best website i´Il agree, but they make a wide variety of rifles, such as different grades of wood, left and right versions, engravings etc. Two models as "base"-design. The Classic version as tested here and the Victory, which is a slightly upgraded version. Both models highly recommended!

I love mine in composite material = strongest design in the market + and with silencer much lower grade of recoil, not much for 30-06.
