Schultz & Larsen "How To" - Switching a Barrel Between Rifle Models

Hi, I have a rifle that has DDSG&I 6.5 x 55 on the heavy barrel and Model 98 on the side of the action. I am trying to remove the barrel from the action, but it does not have the two clamping screws as described in your video. Do you have any ideas or suggestions as to the removal? Is it threaded? If so, LH or RH? Thank You.

Is the action body a Mauser Model 98? If so, you'll have to refer to their user manuals and barrel removal instructions. Schultz & Larsen have made barrels for other rifle manufacturers. So the rifle will not usually have a switch barrel system common to the modern Schultz & Larsen rifles. Even on some older models of Schultz & Larsen, the method to release the barrel will be different to the modern method shown in this video.

For the Victory and Classic rifles, a 4mm Hex or Allen Wrench. You use the 4mm Hex for the Action Screws (to remove the stock from the action) and also for the Barrel Screws (which hold the barrel into the action). We use a T-Handle wrench in this video but a standard driver with a 4mm Hex bit is a good option too. I hope this is useful.
