I started reading more after reading her books at aged 11. My parents got me the first book for Christmas 1998. And it looked shit. A boy with glasses outside a train station. I picked it up and read it one night and was hooked. It's not my favourite book serirs as a child but because it was so long it kept me hooked Actually went to the library and got the chamber of secrets. And later the prisoner of Azkaban. Was about 13 or 14 when the 4rth book came out. I was really excited about it coming out. Even my mum liked it. And read it to my younger sister. So yeh it brought us joy. And JK created that.

She doesn't even have anything against transgender women. She doesn't think the distinction should be completely erased, as the lived experience and struggle of a woman is different than one of a trans-woman. I never understood the controversy in that. I already know someone will probably respond to call me out but Rowling had spent a decade pandering to leftist beliefs, including trans matters, and just because she had one disagreement on the nature of one belief, not even from a place of hate, she was cast out as a devil among her peers. @@tamarajay7676 he may not be phrasing what he's saying in the most sensitive way but he's responding to the initial comment of JKR speaking on biology. For the record, I think JKR's main point was the previous lived experience being different, more than the biological aspect. I'm going by her initial, huge as ****** essay level statement and not her possibly reactionary tweets. I don't have a doubt that she thought trans-woman had struggles to deal with and thought they needed attention but she probably wanted a lens to be put to them separately (trans-women and cis-women). I mean, black people probably don't want their issues measured and responded to on the same scale as gay people's, regardless of whether they support it or not, as the response can become conflated/confused, slowing both of their progress at the same time. On top of that, a lot of bad people that just look for people to crucify have thrown themselves into these movements when they aren't even what they support, and obviously just get off on cancelling and ruining people for the rush of it. I guess the later portion of this comment is more addressing people in general than you specifically. Sorry, I have a problem with ranting for no reason.

If people took the time to actually read what she said, you'd understand her sentiment without just throwing her into the bigot box.
