Just a 1.5min clip of Schumacher driving with the roaring sound of V10 engines and the wild crowd who cheered Michael at every corner is enough to remind us what F1 is missing nowadays.
@Speedy006 жыл бұрын
To me this was the best era of F1. Not only because of the cars, but look at the crowd.. I remember being at Hockenheim, had a seat at the grandstand.. People were going crazy every time MS flew by. I mean they were going that crazy, that you couldn't even hear the sound of the car and ppl who ever heard these v10s live know, how freaking loud they were... Nowadays it seems like ppl are just sitting there, pretty bored and just go to the track to tell everyone "hey i've been to a formula 1 event..." but it's nothing like it was in the late 90s and early 2000s.

It's because the tickets are INSANELY expensive. The same thing happened with the Premiere League, the crowd is just composed of rich people who are most of the time just here to show off, Formula 1 has lost its "popular" aspect since 25 years now.
@novocainDaimon5 жыл бұрын
@@Okxyd Formula 1 has lost its "popular" aspect. But i disagree with the time: 25 years ago we had 1993 - which still was in the golden age of Formula 1. But ever since then the circus has dumbed down to a cash circus thats all about beeing serious, making money and thats about it. Where are the pit lane girls? Where are the outstanding drivers (everyone can go fast, but what about character? i dont want to see Hamilton, Vettel or whatever their names are because they are all the same generic types of character). It's all about safety first nowadays because there is so fucking much money involved. Imagine if the 1998 Spa Grand Prix would repeat nowerdays - race would've been cancelled at the very start after 1 corner.

That lap was beyond the limits of track, adhesion and human ability.

His peak was when he was the only guy in formula 1 to be cappable of compete with the Maclaren Mercedes (when hakkinen was world champion) because the difference between Maclaren and the rest was huge... he still was cappable of challenging hakkinen for the title despite of that... its a pity that in the 5 consecutive times he won the formula 1 tittle, he barely had any oposition, because he was probably the best F1 driver after Senna, unfortunaly formula 1 started to lose its magic in this period, they changed the qualification rules, the fuel pitstops, the budjects were controlled, only 1 engine was allowed per weekend and stuff like that, they killed formula 1 slowly...

SO much better you can see he's actually having to drive the car rather than just guide it round as they do today
