Schumacher CAT XLS Overview. Iconic RC.

Just started collecting parts to build an xls . Going on the current climate, and the fact the re re masami versions are now unavailable , I think this is a better idea than buying a nib kit, due to the inflated prices. This way, I get to buy the hop ups, including the pro transmission, rather than having a whole transmission sat there , with very little use. I’m building this car with a personal journey in mind.. this video is absolutely flooding all my memories back.. especially the early comment about the original xls manual, I was 14/15 at the time I built it ( my original) it took me at least a week to build lol.. great memories.. great video.. thank you

Excellent video - both very informative and amusing. I have just started building a Top Cat Classic and next is the Masami XLS. They are a slight struggle to build though. Will definitely visit the Muzzoom website.

huh, kinda disappointed that someone like Iain Groom a lorded aficionado of vintage Schumacher, didn't refer to the "SWB" C.A.T. as the "Standard Wheel Base"...

A great video of one of my favourite Iconic RC Car's. I would have loved a SWB version to own or another company could review the parts. Iain Groom of Muzzoom, what a great innovative company. I was a Tamiya Super Sabre driver back in the day. I was obviously mauled week in and out in the domestic races by the XLS and Optima. I understood why when I bought, built and drove a re-re XLS for myself 30 odd years later. I was never a fan back then but now, wow what a car!! Lot's of original Schumacher Cat XLS history and the evolution of this car in this video. I am currently building as fully upgraded XLS with every upgrade I can find, please check my post www.catxls.com/ This will be my second XLS after I fell in love with them. I have the Muzzoom steering kit ready to fit and the C/F parts. I also want their adjustable top arms, shock pistons, wide steering and forward front transmission.
