We don't finish at 10 vs 11, we had one subsitute (first change was Genghini at 50' injuried by Kaltz, subituted... by Battiston) But after Schumacher attack on Battiston, Hidalgo had no midfield anymore. Lopez (defender) entered as midfield but had no impact on game. End of match was difficult for french team because of early subsitute with loss physical freshness.

I can remember watching this game as a 16 year old. Without doubt one of the greatest games I have ever seen. For the first time ever I supported France in this game and was gutted they lost. The Germans deserved to lose to Italy in the final. The keeper should have been sent off and a penalty given to France.
