Schumann: Fantasie op. 17 - Fabio Martino live at the International German Piano Award 2017

Fabio Martino was finalist at the 7th International German Piano Award 2017 in Frankfurt. At the finale he performed the Fantasie in c Major Op. 17 by Robert Schumann and four pieces by Mozart Camargo Guarnieri (Dança Selvagem, Dança Negra, Dança Brasileira, Lundu). He played on a C. Bechstein grand piano D 282 at the Mozart Hall of the Alte Oper Frankfurt in April, 5th, 2017.

The Third Movement of Schumann's Fantasie is one of the best I've ever heard from the point of view of expression. An evident false note towards the end may have cost Martino the First Prize. Anyway, great reading of Schumann's Fantasie Op. 17.
