Beautiful performance of a great piece! Amazing what Schumann did there. A big piece of 25 minutes, not a sonata or fantasy. He condensed his sets of miniature character pieces into a single massive movement. Radu Lupu plays this masterfully. Great passion and great sensitivity, exactly what Schumann needs.

Sans doute pas l'œuvre la plus connue de Schumann, sauf des mélomanes avertis, mais une fois de plus quelle poésie et passion y met Lupu dans un de ses compositeurs de prédilection, un des plus grands pianistes du 20ème siècle, pour un compositeur que j'adore passionnément

Eine sehr sensible Aufführung dieses durchaus nicht nur "melancholischen" Werks von Robert Schumann. So sehr der Pianist die Töne leiser Sehnsüchte trifft, in den Aufschwüngen verschwimmen sie zeitweise in zu starkem Pedalklang. Gut trifft der Ausdrucksmusiker Lupu den ironischen Trotz der Schlussakkorde.
