Sooo, I really doubted to put these on my bike, bc they seemed to be too good to be true. But your review somehow gave me the final push to buy a set and put them on my bike. In short: excellent choice, and for the price point €35 here in the Netherlands, probably the best choice for its purpose. My hybrid fitness/commuter biker can now handle offroad trails as wel as tarmac. Tarmac performance (grip levels) are slightly (but only very slightly) down compared to the previous tyre (Schwalbe Spicer, a semi slick), but it rolls way more comfortable and with low resistance! On gravel, I got a completely new bike, so to say!

I have used these tires in the Netherlands mostly on pavement and a maybe once a week on gravel and trails (Maastricht and stuff) and I have to say great tires. Also for long distance audax rides 300km+ however .... The rear tire is almost dead after 2700km might get another 500 km but then it's gone

I'm using the G-One Allround Performance (LiteSkin) TUBELESS even if it's not TLE. After loosing air through the sidewalls initially, now it's getting better and holds air better and better with every ride. However, the density does NOT get better with pumping the tire up, shaking it and putting it into the garage ... so it has to be ridden. I'm very satisfied with the versatility of the G-One.

JS K the Marathons do much better on road. They are quieter as well. On gravel I’ve had no concern for traction. I ride mostly on 2”-. Any larger and I would look at some 40s or 44. The G Ones are actually a bit lighter and have more grab. You will notice a little hum as well.

I got a set of these in 700x40, and I love them. I guess between this video and now Schwalbe delivered on your plea for larger sizes. They're even pretty fantastic on snow and ice as it's currently winter and I've had to ride over some seriously treacherous garbage and they just do it, ive only gone down once very lightly on ice that I wouldn't even be able to walk over . I've been running tubes , and you're right about the ride being a bit harsh. It's pretty comfortable at lower pressure but I was hoping for more of a plush ride. I want even fatter tires than 40s so next time I'm getting something in 45 that's knobby, perhaps a maxxis tire since I love their MTB tires

I have these very tyres on my 3T Exploro, they are perfect for dry gravel, very good on road (only slightly slower than on my former road bike with P Zero Velos). The Schwalbes don’t work well on mud but this is understandable - you just can’t have everything. I’m very happy that I went from road to gravel - I don’t feel I compromised anything (I was never racing) and I got so many new possibilities. As much as I enjoy riding them I’m tempted to try some tires that are slick in the centre and threaded on sides like WTB Byway which should be similar on gravel but maybe a bit better on road.

Personally I'm happy to trade tarmac speed for grip on slidey stuff. Coincidentally, the other dude in this video is riding a 3t Exploro with WTB Byways on it. He's a sick bike handler so he loves the sliding. Personally I'm not s talented so I take the safer option!

I loved the g-ones and used then since they came out but the continental terra speed it better at everything. Nicer on road, more grip on gravel and more importantly there is grip on the shoulder so you don’t have that wash out you get with the g-one tread pattern. They also mount tubeless with less effort and are lighter in weight.

Oh yeah, no arguments from me! Those Terra Speeds are excellent tyres. I've found their wear rate just so damn high though. I'm thinking once I've thrashed out the rear Terra Speed and G-One Allround I'll make a badass hybrid with a Terra Speed on the front and move the front G-One to the back. I'm expecting that to be a sweet combo.

I have been riding these tyres on a very similar bike (Ribble CGR Ti) for about three months now, and generally agree with you. My experience is: low rolling resistance on the straight, slightly heavy/sluggish up hills, sketchy around loose turns. No punctures yet. While I have nothing to compare them with on this bike yet, I've been researching a replacement so was looking for the WTB Raddler 40s. My guess was that rolling should be similar due to similar tread, hills should be similar due to similar weight, but loose turns might be improved due to bigger side knobs. No real idea how puncture protection would compare... Have you had any experience with the Raddlers? Obviously, I'm expecting more of an iteration on the G-Ones as opposed to something life changing here. And although the 44mm versions would be best for shorter agro dirt and gravel fun, I'm riding this year's 200km Dirty Reiver so have a feeling the lighter and lower rolling resistance of the 40s will help keep legs fresh as the priority!

I find the tread pattern better on the G-Ones; better grip on the loose stuff, and they feel a little quicker on road. That said, there's way better size options in the GravelKings so I'd take a 43 mm GravelKing SK over a 38mm G-One Allround.
