Again. Your narration is just perfect for these stories. If you get the chance, find more dystopian/post apocalypse stories. Your voice and delivery is perfect for them.

I'm mad that I already heard this story from another narrator since you're probably the best person to cover this series being my favorite for military, sci-fi, and dystopian related stuff.

Anybody remember the show called The Outer Limits? They used to take SciFi short stories like this and make an hour show out of it. It was around in the 1990's to early 2000's.

That was actually the series remake. The original aired about the same time as The Twilight Zone. Both were good shows.

Amazing story! Definitely not your boring run-of-the-mill dark scifi. Makes me think of the Gorn, and an alternate timeline in which they picked on humanity centuries earlier. Also, out of curiosity, are you by chance dyslexic? No offense intended, I'm genuinely just curious.

The description of the Astri is very similar to the Ottoman Empire and the Barbary Coast pirates from North Africa employed by the Ottoman sultans of the 1600s to raid and pillage coastal towns from Portugal all the way to Sweden and Iceland. TENS OF THOUSANDS of European women and children were seized by the Moorish raiders and forced into lives of unspeakable horror in North Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey, while the men and boys in the targeted towns were mercilessly slaughtered with arrow and scimitar. The governments of Scandinavia and the UK were powerless to stop these Moorish lightning raids, until the late 1780s, when the United States Marine Corps led by Commodore Stephen Decatur obliterated the pirates' strongholds in Libya and Algeria, ending 2 centuries of terror.
