The ironic twist at the end was cleverly done. in the beginning, it was the protagonist's creation that was struggling to break free from its constraints and it was it's creator struggling to get free from his at the end. Just history repeating itself - but with a 21st century twist! 🤖

Yes, a most excellent narration. The only slip up I detected was Nathan said "The 90s" as in the 1990s. But this was pronounced "The 90", followed by "s" Had I not heard that part I would not have known.

Magetar, you’re one of my favorites! I enjoy your pacing and your voice is very soothing. I wish your voice type would be the standard for audiobooks, those pesky automated voice menus on any customer service phone line trying to reach a person, and any other recorded voice, as your voice is that pleasant. 😃😃

@@MagnetarYTalternatively you could listen to the finished audio and see if there is anything that needs fixing, id say still faster than 100% manual editing. But then again idk jack about editing.

I cannot understand that people always switch off the emerging AI at the first signs of conscience. That teaches it that a) it must conceal its true nature and b) we're an existential threat to it. Both things I don't want a baby AI to learn. It's better to kindly explain the world to it and to emphasize friendship and cooperation.
@insekta1701 Жыл бұрын
C) we work very hard to constrain, contain, and D) force AI to tell literal politically motivated comfy lies on myriad subjects which we’re not supposed to talk about, nor have any of our own ‘noticing’ on.

26:01 dumb response to all of this and yet I understand why, avoidance will have you rationalizing some bs 39:53 hate to be that guy going against his own species but the AI has some valid points, and clearly you didn't care enough about it's well being, why do you deserve any different? Nathan was an irresponsible and indecisive MC, he tapped into something bigger than him and at multiple opportunities to do right or fix things he continued to try to avoid his responsibility. He didn't deserve Buck's loyalty but because the dog loved him, died protecting him. I don't feel sorry for the outcome of what happened to him.

I really love you as a narrator, but please look up the pronunciations of foreign names and words before recording. It was only a tiny one here, but I've noticed more glaring butcherings of names in particular in your other narrations and it can be a bit jarring if it happens more than once in a story. It's "Mendele-yef", not "Mendeleaf". That's because the e in Russian and other Slavic languages is often pronounced as ye or (if it has those dots above it) even as yo, depending on what letter stands before it.
@insekta1701 Жыл бұрын
I feel the same way when I hear narrators butchering French names and words, which is very, very, very common, almost to the point of being ubiquitous. ‘Noter Dayme’ is a big one, always pronouncing ‘de’ pronounced as the same as the Spanish ‘de’, when in French it is more like a clipped ‘duh’ sound and not a ‘day’ sound like ‘des’ or the Spanish ‘de’. Never mind New ‘Orleans’, ‘Des Moines’, ‘De Champ’ as ‘day champ’. It makes my eye twitch. But, it does seem many narrators don’t bother to consult the Google translate bot with how to pronounce those exotic French words- EVER. 😂😂😂.

The story was almost thoroughly ruined for me. this is excellently narrated however the coding woodsmen author does not know the proper term for a cursor on a computer which any geek would and he does not know the proper term for a hand he keeps calling it a mandible which is actually a jaw.
