The art is great but the impact, due to the animation is rather lacking. In DD there's an oomph whenever you're acting that's missing in this game. A buffing action in DD is more exciting than a Forceful Blow in this game.

It's not even art fault i think... It is more about sound effects - it doesn't have this "OOMPH" like in darkest dungeon - this loud chime, slash sound - it need more sound emphasis on main action also what adds flavor to actions in Darkest Dungeon... Is the Ancestor narrating your actions - this game need some kind of grizzled mission control: "Compressed plasma shot - Critical - "Lady Luck is on strike today, grit you teeth or perish like the rest"" "Shields broken, now is the time for armor to make last stand between us and space horrors" "*Killing enemy with a critical* One doesn't simply stand between man... And his paycheck"

The difference between a pop up picture and zooming on the action that DD delivers is what is missing. That is the visual aspect then add what everyone else said below. Its a good idea but poorly implemented.

I have to agree, just from watching this video this game looks good, just not as good as DD.

The similarities to Darkest Dungeon are minuscule in terms of tone and combat. From what is seen in this video, it's bewildering that there should even be a sanity system in play as the visual style of the game is clearly focused on a more bombastic comic-book art style rather than the gritty and morbid sort that Darkest Dungeons was known for.

Ive played this for a few days the Tracker is one of the best when combined with the Scrappers good search items Giving the tracker Grenades that deal 18 aoe dmg aswell as 43 single target dmg
