@@lightborn2107 sure, I'll assume you mean the comment and not the video as a whole! I'm not also sure what you know exactly about coffee so I'll explain everything! Coffee contains a chemical caffeine which is used to give energy. Decaffeinated coffee taste like coffee minus the caffeine. The glass container has an orange lid which is the universal color for decaffeinated coffee. The joke is they are all talking about how much coffee and caffeine they need. Meanwhile, the coffee is not only in an orange lidded container, but the coffee itself is almost clear while properly brewed coffee is black. So, the group of people are really just sitting around essentially saying, "oh, I love sponge Bob he's my favorite. Oh yes, he's absolutely the best and the only thing I watch". Mean while, they turn on the TV start watching something terrible that's not SpongeBob, but continue to praise how much they love sponge Bob. Essentially, they are all claiming to love sponge Bob even though none of them actually even know what real sponge bob even is. They are all doing this to have something in common just so they don't feel so left out.

My Mom, who passed away at 90 years old a few years ago, used to have a job like this. She was hired at a Government office at a young age that had desks in rows with the boss at the front. She got her desk and asked the lady next to her what she was supposed to do. She was told to go to the file cabinet, pull a file, look through it at her desk and then put it back. The boss due to his grade was authorized so many workers whether there was enough work for them or not. She didn't stay long in that job because it drove her nuts. I guess the point of this film is that only meaningful work gives life meaning.

The offices were in fishbowls (all glass) so everyone could see every one else. Everybody played computer games all day openly (except me) and no one did any work (I tried to), After a year, they wanted to renew my contract. I had a talk with the boss who said they were very happy with my work and would like to extend my contract. I said, ok, but I insist on you giving me some real work. He said that I should continue as I was doing and not rock the boat by talking about work, They renewed my contract but I soon found a new job in Germany to get away from this weird sitaution..

I was told by a department manager at my job that it runs on equal parts despair and stress. I can identify with these people.

Damn this one is good. Loved so much how you guys showed this new generation through their unfamiliarity with the idioms and common phrases; such a nice detail. Started out with "Her" vibe and ended with something more dark. I'd love to see a full-length movie based on this story. Remarkable.

Wow! Accurate description of a lot of people and societal view of what's important. Art, music, children, and so much more are not held as meaningful when they are the most meaningful things we can engage in rather than mindless toil. It also shows how shallow too many interpersonal interactions are. Very interesting - a lot to ponder based on this short-short!

Thought this was a riff on that game where everyone had to be happy all the time or face punishment. Complete subversion of expectations from start to finish, especially the look on his face when he realized she took the time to throw her own face on the former boss wall. Like yooooo

My take away is we have a culture where people feel like they have to work so bad that if we actually made a world where people could survive without working there's a huge portion of the population that wouldn't know what to do and probably would actually do this just because it's what you're supposed to do.
