Finally we get a short that has a plot and dialogue. This was really good. The androids were training and training and soon began to long for what wasn't being trained. They went looking and found what was and one of them was underwhelmed... just like humans.

@@derek_vr_romrellThis was exceptional! Now left with questions. Like, were these the only two? How far to the nearest mall? Lily's message sent to SagA and at least one other star system - Why? Known human colonies? Hopefully human colonies? This would make an excellent pilot episode if you want to explore the prior that led humanity's extinction, or what comes of Adam's disappointment with their reality. One last thing, Lily was hearing gulls, and we didn't see any. Was she just playing the tape in her head, or did she really hear gulls and they were just out of our sight? If just in her head, the virus killed the birds too? Tons of questions... but excellent short film.👏😁👍

This was a thought-provoking short!! It says to me, that when we sit in our comfort, we tend to want to know what else is out there. That something that soarked our interest, we want to experiment it! But when it is time to actually live the famtasy, we retreat into our comfort zone! That is what I got out of it because it is so relatable to me! 😢😢❤🎉

Hello Mr. Romrell, Great story, I enjoyed it tremendously. After the extinction of the human race. I think it apropos that you decided to name the androids Adam and Lilly, As in the first man and woman from the bible, although the story of Lilith (Lilly) being Adams first wife stems from various Jewish and Pagan folklore. Albeit the basis of a (second) First Man And First woman was not lost. It also did not escape me that "Adam and Lilly" were "designed" to eventually venture out and become individuals on their own, hence, in my thought process it hinted at the possibility of the start of a new world.

My thought was they were actually human and the whole battery level e-ink display and needing to charge thing was just to keep them dependent on the computer and the facility until they were ejected like fledglings. I like to think that they discovered their "battery" never runs flat, that they aren't actually over 200 years old.

The only thoughts that this Sci-Fi Short Film "To Err" provoked in me pertained to the creation of a new film genre ... called : "Deluders Emporium". Androids longing for anything is surely a fantasy [aka : a lie] .... does your Android phone long to be caressed by your fingertips when it is not in use ? No ... of course it doesn't .... Liars longing .... well that's another matter altogether. This cough cough excuse for a Sci-Fi Short Film "To Err" was obviously made by liars for liars ... perhaps to feed their insane cravings for more / fresh delusions.

For all the viewers left with more questions than answers, please consider giving this short film another watch! Every time you watch a film you have a different experience of it. I think a lot of your questions might be answered. And LOL to the folks that keep asking about chargers and battery life - in my opinion, I think it’s obvious that Adam and Lily never needed them to operate. They only needed them until they were psychologically capable of leaving the nest. 🪺🪹 Like a mother’s milk or how your parents feed you until you’re capable of feeding yourself. Please rewatch this film!
