When the test is close to positive it can be much slower than three seconds. Also occasionally the machine may randomly slow down to around 10 seconds for some reason, not very often. I've found that If you exit out of "Analyze" and back to the main start screen (Analyze, setting, results) and then go back to testing it will be back to the normal three second test speed +-.
