I just use a basic sorting redstone format but instead of water lines just put hoppers where the water would be

You can also use ice and slime blocks on sticky Pistons to launch the items over the hoppers

You could set a goal of like acquiring a single chestful of every renewable item instead of making every farm. This way you won't have to build a turtle lightning farm, you could just craft the bowls.

I try to play along this server in my single player world that I started on the first of august. What I managed to achieve so far is: -Carrot/Potato Crop Farm (for Trading) -Melon/Pumpkin Farm -Villager Breeder -Trading Hall with every enchantment as a book -Small but effective iron farm - General Mob Farm -Slime Farm -1 Elytra, 1 Beacon and a few Shulkerboxes

I'm pretty sure that putting a block above the flowing water in the guardian farm allows the guardians to flow easily in the portal without bouncing around so much

@@Andrea-yu8vf There are actually two effects here. Guardians have a built-in spawn failure rate if their spawn location has sky access. That mechanic is supposed to concentrate their spawns inside the monument. The other effect is indeed that they are stopped inside the flowing water to quickly be transported into the portals and removed from the overworld mobcap.

Why did a whole different raidfarm need to be made for "hero of the village" instead of taking the villagers to the stacking raid farm?

Hero of the Village only causes gifting if no other raid is in progress. If you look closely, you can see massive amounts of sweating particles while the raid is going on. Villagers are "busy" panicking at that time. The stacking raid farm constantly has multiple raids going on.

@@matts.5512 Yes. The duration of for the Hero of the Village effect is 40 minutes, while bad omen lasts for 100 minutes. You can comfortably wait out all the gifting before starting the next raid, but you need a raid farm design that doesn't automatically give you bad omen again.

Place some ladders behind the villagers. It'll increase the entity cap. You could have more than 60 chickens in a single block in a chicken farm (Ilmango doesn't have one) with a ladder without any entity cramming.

They use twisting vines. From the wiki: "If the entities exist within the area of effect of a ladder or a vine, entity collision is not calculated[...]"

Also note that cramming in larger chambers is not linear. Just because you have more space available, does not mean that you can also fit 5x24 entitites in there (Cramming starts at the 25th entity). This is because they push each other into the corners, so in a 1x5 big chamber you can fit 48+ entities. There will be a number of them in the middle section, so you can probably fit 60-80 in there. Much less than 120 for sure

@@iamk1en Carpet is a server-side mod. If you play on a server that doesn't have it installed, it will do exactly nothing. Also, I believe you need to enable various carpet rules to activate its features, as by default it likely won't have any effect on your game.

Any kind of ladder-like block at foot level turns off entity collisions, so there's no entity cramming. It also improves performance even if there are less mobs than the cramming limit allows.

Optifine is pretty meh. They instead use mods that don't attempt to hide what they are doing. If ilmango wanted shaders, he could just load them, because he's running Iris+Sodium, which apparently is better for client performance anyway.

Its a huge farm from bedrock to build limit, with cactus platforms on top of each other, thats how it gives so much xp. He covered it in an earlier episode, but dont know of a tutorial
