If you're looking for redesign ideas for these guys, you could design them as fish that evolve into differently-shaped schools of fish!

I've never cared for Pokémon, didn't grew up with it, haven't played it, the whole craze just didn't affect me in any way... But in a past day I've binged all of your videos... Your idea of making cute science-based little critters brings joy to my biology-nerd brain... If I were a teacher, a would've used your designs to illustrate relevant concepts in class... So, great job, keep up the good work, and don't overwork yourself... I'm subscribing, to see more weird little guys from you...

I worry that these may be too busy visually. while the secondary structures only describe sections of proteins, the tertiary structure is the whole protein. and quarternary structures are when multiple proteins(either different ones or multiple copies of the same one) come together.

Fun concept! I dunno if it's possible but it'd be cool if these had some kind of synergy in battle. Like having more than one in your party grants them a stat bonus or increases the attack of a specific move. Also, I think they might benefit from each bring a different color to make them easier to identify. Maybe the non-polar group are all neutral colors, the slightly more positive are warm colors and the negative are cool colors?
@dudono1744

it's possible to code a synergy. The requirements to do that is simply having access to the list of mons in the party, and that's kinda required.

I LOVE this series, it’s amazing and by far my favorite game concept I’ve ever seen. I love the concept of the amino acid creatures too, so it kinda bums me out that it’s getting scrapped from ur game. Maybe a similar concept would be good tho? Just an idea based on the base shape of them all, but maybe u could redesign these as something like fish? Maybe they like to bite the tails of their friends forming a chain or something? I also feel like a good way to distinguish the important differences between polar and non polar could be that one has the r-group on top of its head and the other has it on its belly? Idk, just ideas because I really love the ways you could represent certain cell functions like this. I’m excited to see what you do to represent other parts of the central dogma of life!

I really like this concept and definitely think you come back to them for your own project. The secondary evolutions are the weakness in my opinion, they remind me more of bubble seaweed/bladder wrack more than anything protein related. My favourite thing about the first line is that the look like little abstract birds, taking that into consideration, my mind goes to 'long bird' for an evolution- I guess you could do something like an ostrich but it doesn't seem appropriate, so I then hopped on to the idea of bird adjacent things, like worms, bird cages and bird feeders
