Interesting. About 30 years ago I met a doctor in Toronto airport and this subject came up in conversation. His premise was basically "use it or lose it" applicable to your whole body physically and mentally. I've followed that advice ever since and I'm now 80 and in good shape according to my family doctor. I think "use it or lose it" is a good mantra to follow throughout your life.

I am retired from the UNITED STATES NAVY. And during one of my annual physicals the NAVY nurse giving the physical told me some great advice. She said that from her over 25 years experience as a nurse she observed that men with a very active sex life had less prostate cancer. so she advised me to release often, and it didn't matter if it was with a partner or solo, just do it! So YES I was basically under orders from the NAVY to release often with or without a partner....!

I had a friend and co-worker who was a divorced man in his early 60s, not known to date. Getting a routine checkup, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. However, his doctors soon found cancer in his lungs and then told him not to worry about his prostate cancer; and then they found more cancer in his spine. Finally, they told him not to worry about his cancer, just enjoy what life he had left; and that he did. RIP my good friend. You deserved a better ending to your life.

I got prostate cancer young at 49 (very lucky 18 year survivor!) and my prostate got plenty of use. I know there’s a strong genetic component and I never knew my natural fathers health history. Mine was caught in a routine physical. MEN - Even if you feel great get a yearly digital exam and PSA - period! Oh and FYI - sex is much better with a prostate than without one. Association is not causation. Ejaculation once or twice a week is sufficient to prevent prostate infection in older men who don't ejaculate enough, in my 34-yr experience as a family physician. People who rarely ejaculate, like less than once a month, tend to have high risk of prostate infection due to stagnation, that can increase the risk of prostate cancer as well as contributing to enlarged prostate.

Hell, in October, 1963, I discovered that ejaculating was good for my mood and I figured the benefits had to go beyond that. So I became very health-minded and worked daily to improve my health. At age 68, my urologist tole me that based on a PSA test the probability of my getting prostate cancer were about 0.01 percent. So taking care of my body over 50+ years had paid off.

Every PSA test I've had measures me at 1, which is great. But, I plan to stick with my own prevention program.

Well, that apparently was NOT the case for me. At 46 years old, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. When the biopsy was conducted, it showed 2% of my prostate was affected & the cancer was "non-aggressive." However, two months later, after surgery was performed, the pathology report stated differently. It wasn't 2% but 5%-10% and was aggressive, which means it was growing fast. So I guess I was an exception to the study findings.
@jamiewykes8585

That's scary! Is the surgery you refer to, the removal of your prostate? I was diagnosed at 46 too. I had an abdominal CT for GI issues that just happened to show a mass on my prostate. They biopsied it with 28 core samples and just one showed a tiny percentage of non-aggressive cancer. They haven't pushed me to have mine removed yet after about 2yrs. They say monitoring it for now is a good course. I hope so. I just had a 3Tesla MRI that looked "good", and my PSA remains around 1.9. I had to change urologists because mine moved out of state. This urologist doesn't see a reason to do another biopsy yet after seeing the MRI. I still wonder if I should go for prostate removal, so I piece of mind about it, but the possible side effects of removal scared me too...

Well there's two sides to every story. I developed prostate cancer in late 2019 and completed my last radiation treatment and rang the bell 3 days before the world shut down due to COVID. Without providing TMI suffice it to say I had a well above sex life for more than 40 years. I was 62 when I developed prostate cancer and not one doctor can explain to me why I got it. In fact having sex all the time and taking zinc and doing kegel exercises is something I had been doing for years. Ironically it was me noticing my ejaculation that lead me to the doctor that lead to a biopsy that lead to them telling me I had prostate cancer. I felt EXACLY what Dr Malik said about ejaculation and I did everything to keep the plumbing in good order for years. Got cancer anyway. Nothing I did helped at all. But all is not bad, I am still here and I am a one year cancer survivor. Prostate cancer destroys your manhood in almost everyway but at least I'm still alive.

@ccwalker050

@@williamdavidcraigjr7841 You bring up an excellent point! If you don't ask for that specific test it's generally not included in normal blood work. A year before my diagnosis my PSA was normal or within range at (2.8ng). Exactly 11 months later it had skyrocketed to 8.5ng. Normal range is (0.0 - 4.0)ng/mL No one could and still can't explain the jump in a year from 2.8 to 8.5 and prostate cancer. I warn everyone to check your PSA every three months. Maybe it's overkill but at least you will know when the jump happens. The sooner you know you have cancer obviously the better.

Thanks doc for this video cause it reminds me of something that was told to me a long time ago by someone I knew who recently had his prostate removed he said, “use it or loose it”. Well being sexually active since puberty I very rarely carried accumulated sperm for more than a day or two and never experienced any of the symptoms of prostate problems. At age 57 after a complete physical examination I underwent a PSA test which was high and eventually after seeing a Urologist I had mine removed with post radiation treatment. However that’s not saying this hypothesis doesn’t work because mine was the result of coming in direct contact with Agent Orange while serving in Viet Nam. So much for being on top of it doing the right thing only to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Guess it’s just being dealt a bad hand. Although never really good at poker I am grateful to my creator that I’m still alive.

He told me if I'm sexually active, go ahead and bang away as much as possible. He said if I'm not currently sexually active, go ahead and jerk off as much as possible.

I am living proof of this hypothesis. I had prostate trouble when I was in my mid 20s. My urologist used a technique I nicknamed the "roto-rooter." I bled for a couple of weeks before getting better. I told my doctor that I didn't want to go through this again and he said to remember two things: 1. Limit caffeine (coffee, cokes, tea, etc.); and 2. Have a regular flow of semen (ejaculations). My wife at the time opposed this (physical intimacy with her or masturbation) and I came to realize that she had no interest in my health. We had many other issues and were divorced. Since then I have followed that doctor's advice. I am now 75 and have no problem with my prostate. I can sleep all night without getting up to pee. Listen to Dr Malik. She knows what she is talking about!

In lab rats when old female mice reverse aging their procreative power returns. Nature keeps you alive only to breed after that it starts killing you as you are no longer needed for the propagation of the species. the trick is to make Mother Nature think that you are still breeding and that job you were sent down to do is not yet done so you get a couple of decades of extension. It is for real. No joke. the centenarians of Blue Zones all keep having sex until 101 years of age. See if you can keep that streak going till then. Good luck.

"It is a medical and physiological fact that the best blood in the body goes to form the elements of reproduction in both the sexes. In a pure and orderly life, this matter is reabsorbed. It goes back into circulation ready to form the finest brain, nerve and muscular tissues. This vital fluid of man carried back and diffused through his system makes him manly, strong, brave and heroic. If wasted, it leaves him effeminate, weak and physically debilitated and prone to sexual irritation and disordered function, a wretched nervous system, epilepsy, and various other diseases and death. The suspension of the use of the generative organs is attended with a notable increase of bodily and mental and spiritual vigour."

I developed a prostrate condition 3 years ago. I am grateful the specialist referred by my doctor, was able to prescribe two medications for my condition. One of the medications prevents ejaculation. When I raised my concern the specialist dismissed my concerns; "... at your age, you are not going to father any more children..." Again, I am grateful for not developing prostrate cancer. I wish I could find an alternative prostrate medicine so I can restore my ability to ejaculate. Thank you, for reading my post, Dr. Malik.

Hot baths no..you want cold baths/showers. Fasting will cure cancer my friend. Start with fruits only and work your way into a water fast. Distilled water only,,the only safe water for human consumption. Try to do a one day fast,,s week,,and when you're ready do 2 days s week, and so on. The goal is to do a 7 day fast or more. I have done 2 weeks my self. First week I did water fasting (distilled water). 2nd week I did dry fasting, no water,,very powerful healing technique. Cancer is that easy to cure..if this message makes sense to you,,I will explain how to break fast which is very important.

IT IS NOT ONLY ABOUT QUANTITY, BUT MAINLY ABOUT Quality of Ejaculation. Much deeper and detailed studies are needed in this field which Male Doctors are often AFRAID TO TOUCH since it puts their own Sexuality into question. Wilhelm Reich started it but nobody continued it. He is a good starting point for serious researchers. AND IT IS MOSTLY MALE doctors who MUST DO IT since the problem is mainly with males and not females. A frigid female with a good male lover will stop being frigid. Males are much more complicated.
