James Fadiman, Ph.D. author/editor of The Psychedelic Explorer's Guide: Safe, Therapeutic Journeys (Park Street Press, 2011), has been guiding and researching entheogenic journeys for decades. He co-founded The Institute for Transpersonal Psychology, does management consulting, has taught at Stanford, Brandeis and San Francisco State and has written textbooks, a psychedelic novel (The Other Side of Haight), a self-help book and a play. Currently he is researching ways to use extremely low doses of psychedelics and amassing profiles of present day psychedelic drug users.

I never got anything from Marijuana myself on a spiritual level but when I took Ayahausca that was the most deep profound experience of my life...I try to do it a few times a year just to help stay more in tuned with my deep sun consciousness

Yes! In 1971, I went through the portal. And paraphrasing Alan Watts: "It's like going through a gate, then turning around to see the that gate was never there to begin with." But when I do (full-dose) El Cid now, it's just for the beautiful visuals. I can't "learn" any more.

Non duality has nothing to do with reaching a certain state. It is knowing that whether you feel separated or not, you are (a part of) oneness and have never been out of oneness.
