Unbelievable that research so important would be suppressed and discarded. It's great to see that right now we're finally experiencing a resurge in approved scientific research and curiosity surrounding the potential benefits of entheogen use.

Most excellent video. Psychedelic research is necessary...not only can they enhance problems solving, I do believe that we can heal many of the psychological problems in our world by going back to the psychedelic "treatments" ancient and indigenous peoples have used. I think we, as a society, need to understand the power of mind opening science.

Has anyone read either "Tihkal" or "Pihkal" by the great Alexander And Ann Shulgen? If you want to LEARN a thing or two about psychedelics read those two books. You will NOT be disappointed. Enjoy.

So basically what he's saying is that psychedelics can, in the right set and setting, facilitate novel/non-ordinary states of consciousness that have interesting properties or qualities to them, such as high levels of creativity and insight.

Miro Vinji Setting doesn't matter at all for the basic effects. You can have a horrible set and setting, but be just a introspective, insightful, and creativity.

Bad Gift, I have no doubt that you can learn a lot and have success even with a less than ideal set and setting, but if you spend the majority of your trip in some sort of hellscape running away from evil spirits, then you may not have as much success with problem solving.

What a exciting time we are living in. A time when we as a society is moving towards being open minded about the therapeutic effects of substances like cannabis, MDMA, LSD and psilocybin. Let the science show the upside and downside of these substances in a honest way instead of bias based on religion or other beliefs. In search of the truth in regards to this. As these substances are studied more and the proven facts come out to the public, then hopefully people will be able to decide for themselves whether or not to use them without fear of prosecution.

I'm sorry if I was being too overcritical, I know that this research will lay the scientific groundwork for many future studies & psychonauts to come, right now I'm just worried that it's progressing too slowly, and soon, it might be too late.

Outstanding. I'm not enthused about the criteria for being a test subject, however. Gettin' pretty tired of only successful bizniss people being considered valid for anything. Jesus. When has that ever been real? I'm also thinking about the Tarahumara Indians in South America who live at the Top of the World and have told us we're ruining the World. The irrigation and traveling path systems they have built must have been inspired in this way. They are amazing. There are many other examples. Such as those bridges that cross deep canyons made out of vines that only get stronger with time. Holy crap, do we have alot to learn.

I wonder how many of us are.waking up? And having good positive experiences with drugs that have been demonized made illegal obscured and hidden. For example i been involved in this world for 21 years my first of many experiences was mushrooms. It is to my surprise that Albert Hoffman created 4 ACO DMT which i never have had heard of and i just learned about it this week! Please be respectful with yourself and.each other.

Anyone catch him say "I'm not in control of my life or this" at 38:20? What was that about? He didn't catch the question being asked in that moment either.

That was odd! Yeah, the answer was not reacting to microdosing at all. Maybe he just thought of some additional things he wanted to say about guides in addition to what he said before. Maybe he noticed he didn't really answer the question, wanted to remark on that, but got distracted by the new question being asked so some sentences got mashed together resulting in a garbled sentence. Still, this does not feel like a satisfying hypothesis..
