Thankyou I have my yr12 physics mock tomorrow and your explanation of projectile motion and taking moments were very helpful.🤯

you mention that any object that deforms elastically obeys hooke’s law, where hooke’s law only applies up to a certain point - the limit of proportionality. however, if the object stretches beyond the limit of proportionality, why is it that the deformation is still elastic? surely hooke’s law is not obeyed past the limit of proportionality no?
@legobrikz1143 ай бұрын
right i think i found the answer myself, it’s because hooke’s law is a statement that extension is directly proportional to force and so the line on the graph up until the limit of proportionality is linear (obeying hooke’s law) however when it goes beyond the l.o.p the line starts to curve meaning that hooke’s law is no longer applied here : . hooke’s law only applies to the proportionality of stress and strain and not the deformation of a material. HOWEVER, that then does not mean that any object that deforms elastically obeys hooke’s law, and should be that any object that obeys hooke’s law deforms elastically instead 💯

Just a quick question. Will we ever see Alevel Bio and Chem on your chanel?

Unlikely, unless I find someone to work with!

Do you need to know further mechanics for paper 1?
@ScienceShorts3 ай бұрын
If AQA A-level, yes.

Wow really ok thanks for your response thoroughly enjoying your videos how to learn further mechanics then in less than 2 weeks? 😂

further mechanics is easy. just SHM and resonance which is just waves
