Despite being revealed in a time and place where scholarship was of little concern, the Quran contains a number of interesting scientific facts. These scientific facts were not known to the people of Muhammad's era. In fact, a number of them have only been discovered in the past 100 years.

As for waswas what helped me is saying astagfurullah through out the day and forcing myself to put my trust in Allah swt even when I’m scared and looking at it from a logical perspective that the waswas has no power. Whenever i read the Quran, i can't hold my tears and emotions back. It is for so many reasons but one of those reasons is that i feel so bad for the non believers, what is it that they cannot see? Why is it that they dont believe? Which or how many of the miracles of Allah will they deny? Why do people think that their knowledge is above the knowledge of the One who has created them and made them into being. The answer to all these questions and every other question is in the Quran. @@meganmcintyre3077 we as believers will always be tested with different obstacles. Whatever they say or believe will only effect their deeds and judgment. Your situation reminds me of 3 things. One of the only times that we dont have to listen to our parents is when there is a difference in their believe. The second thing is that there is a verse for those who doesnt believe you can just say, to you your religion/faith/believe and to me mine. And the third thing is that one who is guided by Allah, no one can misguide and one who is let astray no one can guide. So just be kind to them and be strong in your faith. Indeed, Allah is all hearing and all knowing.

Right, except the Quran says that the Earth and sky were joined and pulled apart (21:30). This is very problematic because as you know the Earth did not exist at the beginning, and also this is a common local creation myth (Sumerian god Enlil did exactly that). And in 2:29 Allah says that he finished the Earth and THEN turned to the sky - which is the wrong order. It seems like Allah doesn't know how the universe and Earth was made, which is a sign to me that the Quran is a book of very limited 7th century knowledge and ideas. It also says that the Moon and Sun each have an orbit while mentioning day and night, so it's talking about the Sun going around the Earth, a common view at the time. There are trillions of stars and trillions of planets with day and night, so how is just one of them a sign? This is how planets form, spinning around stars, nothing amazing about it, basic physics.

@@vknihal11 Hi. Your comment doesn't address what I said. Why does the Quran mention old creation myths and get the order of creation wrong? Also, why does it mention seven heavens which was another ancient cosmological idea of the time as there were seven objects that moved in the sky (Sun, Moon and five planets) and people attributed an orbit, celestial sphere or "heaven" to each of those? Some people worshipped their motion and went around their temples seven times in the ccw direction, in Yemen for example, and Muhammad and the Quran adopts these ideas. Yes, the Sun is orbiting, however that is not mentioned anywhere in the Quran. The Quran talks about the orbits of the Sun and Moon in terms of day and night, so it presents a geocentric system. The Sun's orbit takes about 220,000,000 years, and has nothing to do with day and night. So, why are you mentioning that? Where is the "resting place" of the Sun, and where does it go at night according to the Quran and sahih hadiths??

@@theastronomer5800 Actually you have not read QURAN properly in the surah YASEEN it is mentioned that sun is travelling towards it's stoping point just few AYAH before the AYAT of each one is swimming in a orbit. And recently it is discovered that sun is traving with all the planets. If in the seventh century the myth was about sun and moon is revolving around earth but not in a single verse it is mentioned that they are revolving arond earth. And why QURAN use the word kullun which at least means three or more object if ALLAH has to mentioned about only sun and moon "ealaa hadin sawa" Which means both must be used why kullun which means all is used. You are not denying but the signs of your LORD. remember one day you have to die so please reflect on QURAN with open heart.

Origin of Life "And We (God) made every living thing from water. Will they not believe?" Quran 21:30

We are not made from water though, animals on Earth, as you should know, are carbon-based. Our DNA does not have water molecules in it. We need water to survive and there is a lot of water in our bodies, but you can dry us up, removing all the water and what's left behind is our DNA which has carbon etc, but no water. Also, that verse contradicts itself in the Quran MANY times, is it water, mud, dust, clay, earth, nothing, a person? 11:61 It is He Who hath produced you from the earth 15:26,28,33 We created man from sounding clay 17:61 ... Thou didst create from clay 32:7 He began the creation of man from clay 19:67 We created him before out of nothing 23:12 We created man from a product of wet earth (loam) 23:12 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay) 38:71 I am about to create a mortal out of mire 3:59 He created (Jesus) out of dust 30:20 He created you from dust 35:11 Allah did create you from dust .... 30:19 It is He who brings out the living from the dead 39:6 He created you from a single Person (see also 4:1) It sounds very very much like Allah didn't know what we were made from. Notice that none are carbon based. The Quran is simply re-stating old creation myths, just like it does in 21:30 when it says that the Earth and sky were separated (in Sumerian myths the god Enlil did that), and of course the Earth did not exist at the beginning.

@@ismailhajat Hi. No my friend, you're understanding basic biology incorrectly. Yes, as I mentioned there is a lot of water in our bodies, as there is inside of say fish and plants. However, if you dehydrate a human, a fish and a plant by removing all the water, what is left? How can you tell them apart? They will have very different DNA, which is carbon based. If you don't understand that, then you don't understand biology. Keep in mind that the idea of things being made of water is an ancient one. The Greeks philosophers talked about this at length (the four elements) and many claimed that water was the primordial element. You can squeeze a bug, you can see the blood inside animals etc, and easily conclude that the liquids (water) is what we are made of. However, this is not what we are made of on the actual biological level. Hope that makes sense :)

But everything came from space, what is your point? The entire Earth and basically all the atoms in your DNA were made inside stars. So, this statement makes little sense. Do you find it interesting that the Quran re-states a well known local creation myth in 21:30 when it says that the Earth and sky were pulled apart (the god Enlil did that in Sumerian mythology)? The Earth of course did not exist at the very beginning, not for ~9 billion years, so this verse is very wrong. Why would Allah mention a silly myth versus saying that the universe started from a tiny point? People couldn't tell either idea apart back then, but now we know that the Quran is wrong.

Please check out Dr. Gary Miller, Maurice Buccaille to read the details, how the Quran confirms modern day findings and the logical reasoning. Plus when we read the Quran with sincerity we clearly see the truth. Who Quran is the guidance for is clearly given in the first 5 verses of Surah Baqarah. Sending Darud and Peace on the blessed Prophet (Peace be upon him) The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) as saying that "One sent by my Sustainer came to me and told me that 'Whoever from your Ummah sends Darud on you once ten good deeds are recorded onhis behalf, his ten (minor) sins are pardoned and he is elevated by ten stages" [SunanNisai and Musnad Ahmed, AI-targhib li al Mundhari, P.157 volume 3] And Anas (Ra) a companion, has said that the Prophet (Sallallahu AlaihiWasallam) said that "When my name is mentioned before anyone it is incumbent upon him to, send darud on me, and whosoever sends darud once, Allah sends His Mercy on him ten times. The best Darud is that which we read towards the end of our Salah and the shortest is to say "Salallahu AlaihiWasallim"

"The human brain is smarter than this." - Well, Islam relies on ignorance, so I'd tend to agree. "There is a god." - Right, Must be true if you say so. Why does it (supposedly) exist ? Just by chance ? "We do not know what religion, but there is a god." - You're not really explaining much by asserting that, just moving the unknowns. "You just have to use your mind that god gave you not your heart to understand." - Where's the evidence of this god then ? The mind came from many years of evolution. That's the conclusion of people that _do_ use their minds. In fact, amongst the scientists, atheism is far more highly represented than amongst the general population. Why would people who use their mind be less likely to believe in the existence of some god ?

@ApologistTruthSeeker Brother please don't twist the words; the Hadith mentions whoever says it will be forgiven. Also the Prophet mentioned that no one will come to the day of judgment better prepared than those who have said that a 100 times a day or those who have added more. It takes a minute to reach 100 times, and it takes a Muslim to do the five pillars of Islam to work their way to the paradise, hope that answers your question brother

@ApologistTruthSeeker Yes having faith is the first pillar of the five, you're right. Believing someone else died for your sins and there is nothing to do but believing in god is wrong. Jesus (peace be upon him and all the prophets sent down to us.) Used to wash parts of himself and then prays, and he used to spend nights and early mornings praying to god. Let me ask you this question who is closer to Jesus ? A christian or a muslim ? He used to fast, pray, and believe in one god. The man didn't do all that as a god praying to himself ? That doesn't make any sense. Please make an effort to find the truth.

@ApologistTruthSeeker Brother how do you believe Jesus peace be upon him was god ? He never claimed divinity. Show me in your bible once Jesus saying he is god. Then you'd know that it isn't said but it was a new teaching done by churches. Not to say how many errors/contradictions exist in the bible so don’t quote a book that collected by millions of authors. God then sent you a book that stayed the same for 1400 years for a reason, search up the Birmingham Qur'an. Listen to Ahmed dedaat's lecture on christianity before you reply to me again.

@@charlotteh8174 Wrong.. gender is decided based on if the sperm that fertilized the ovum had an x or y chromosome and not anywhere else. So its completely random and in God's control. Features/shapes that allow one to know the gender of an embryo are visible at the same time as pointed out in the holy Quran.
