11:10, that is actually mentioned somewhere in the game. The sounds in space are simulated through the soldiers' helmets or something.
@operator64384 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's explain by Infinity Ward that the helmet make artificial audio, and you can see it in E3 video, but as far as I know in the game there is no "Artificial Audio" appears in the helmet

recoil could be compensated with the thrusters
@sternguard82833 жыл бұрын
Yeah through the Reaction Control Systems all the ships have as it is shown from scenes in the game, the RCS is what allows for fighter based dogfighting as they can rapidly alter there trajectories, a good example of space dogfighting would be Babylon five with the star furies

Anyone notice how the DUALSHOCK Battery warning came up same time the visor was put on?
@StarMiners04168 жыл бұрын
Does that mean that they use Dualshock controllers in space? (looks suspiciously at NASA)
@fieldpigeongaming2395 жыл бұрын
2 things. 1 your suit has thrusters so when you shoot it compensates for the back force. 2 bullets actually do work In space I don’t remember exactly how they do but they can work in space.
@sternguard82833 жыл бұрын
Depends on what type of propulsion system the bullets use, be it magnetic or a high intensity burning oxygenated explosive gel of some kind made for space
@Raiders19172 жыл бұрын
Not only do they work, Bullets (or projectiles in general really) are more dangerous in space. Since there is no restiance in any direction they will literally fly strait until they hit something or are distroyed. As well as going as fast as they were when they were shot. So yeah projectile guns in space scary as s**t, especially when your suit is super fragile.

I think most proposals for the 'melt probe' would use nuclear material.

Combat in space is basically long periods of either burning fuel or waiting for an intercept, broken apart by quick bursts of throwing as much lead/lasers/missiles as possible at the target before you fly past each other. For a good representation of how this would look, look for the game "Children of a Dead Earth", which does quite a good job of putting KSP levels of physics (actually a bit better physics because it takes Lagrange points into account) into a mix with a strategy game. Here's a playthrough done by EnterElysium if you want to see it: kzbin.info/aero/PLR5ZBfGW6e1kq8FsYuuZK8M8M8OScWAOC

I am amazed how many things this guys missed and they are supposed to have a scientific background in astrophysics ?! Here is what I noticed. Mars has a far thinner atmosphere and it's missing its night-glow caused by the solar winds. Also the space station is way to close to the planet. Europa is way to close to Jupiter and it's surface should resemble that of a glacier which is a lot more jagged. Also it seams that all ships have artificial gravity which would mean you wouldn't need to bother with Newtonian propulsion to much.
