The Incredible Hulk (1977 - 1982): Dr. David Banner is a widowed scientist caught in the middle of an experiment gone bad. As a result, whenever Banner gets extremely upset or stressed out, he turns into a huge green monster called the Incredible Hulk, with awesome strength and rage to match.

I love how even though the guy was fully intent on killing David by tossing him out the window, the Hulk still wanted to help him when he nearly fell himself, a testament to David's compassionate nature!

As a kid, it really bothered me when Hulk tried to help the guy falling out of the plane, and then the guy Hulk tried to help steps on Hulks' hand when Hulk was dangling from the plane.

When it was David's life that was in danger....he transformed into the Hulk in SECONDS. Later in the same episode....when the passengers, the flight crew, the stewardeses and David's life was in danger...he fought with every fiber in his being to slow down the change.

Because it was a different situation. Later, David was flying the plane when the transformation started, so in that case, he had to stall the transformation to save lives, so that he could maintain the rational ability to fly the plane and land it safely.

David Banner may be a brilliant scientist, but letting on to the thief that he knew too much, wasn't his smartest move. If it wasn't for his Hulk alter ego, his landing would not have been a happy one.

Hulk power levels back then ~500% stronger than an average man, give or take. Hulk power levels now/MCU +50,000% stronger than old school Hulk... power creep...lol Unless MCU Hulk is fighting Thanos, then it's -50,000% strength levels for some reason and Bruce Banner would have put up a better fight lol
