Scindapsus pictus 'Mayari' is a white variegated Scindapsus pictus which was discovered and cultivated here in the Philippines for over ten years now. In this episode, I give a brief introduction to Scindapsus pictus 'Mayari' and provide information regarding the registration experience with the IAS. Given Mayari's popularity here and abroad, it was overdue a proper name, hence the registration with the International Aroid Society (IAS).

I work part time for a very well known plant nursery in the USA. And I proudly smirk when I come across many types of plants that we grow which originate from the Philippines. Hi Prayish! My husband occasionally has some propagations for release under his IG account PlantdaddyPH, but I have sold some to Plant Specialist on FB (PlantExpressPH on IG) and she may have some for release as well :) Hope you're able to find one--they're great plants!
